Thread: Rifleman Block + TKM defense acuity?

Supposed i have capped block at +125, and have 96+ defense acuity from tkm,
when using a rifle, will i have a high rate of blocking?

correction...will i have a HIGHER rate of blocking due to the defense acuity?

can't stack the rifleman + to block and teras kasi defenses... only works when weilding rifles. same goes for dodge, only works when wielding 1h weapon.. etc.

Defense Acuity is a 4th defense ability, totally seperate from Block, Counterattack, and Dodge.
Oh and it sucks worse then the others too.

atama has said it, if you want a good ability like that you should be a swordsmen and pick up their counterattack, seems to be the best, that or fencers dodge.

Nope, wont help whatsoever. Acuity does not stack with any other defense mods in any other way.

Defensive accuity only works when you are unarmed. Just like Block only works when you have a rifle or heavy sword equipped.
Dodge/Block/Counter Attack/Defensive Accuity are all totally seperate from each other and only work when you have weapons equipped for the profession that grants you that ability.

switch betten the two... and they like meditate with fencer / rifles that mainly implies that the person would stick with rifles and never go melee

First off, fencer has dodge while rifleman has block, so fencer won't help your evasion any more than TKA would. The only profession you can stack with rifleman is pikeman if you want to improve block.
Secondly, block isn't all that great. It only reduces damage by 50% instead of totally avoiding damage. Most riflemen would rather build up stats like ranged and melee defense, or state defenses if they want to stack defenses.
Finally, TKA gives you meditation, which has many unique benefits. You can get a small buff for free, get out of incap, and heal wounds/disease/poison/bleeds.
