a comparison of the abilities of meleeprofessions (attackabilities in red):


All professionswillhave:

-recovery from: dizzy, stun, blind and knockdown

-center of being

-lunge

-meleestrike


Master brawler:

-melee assault

-parry ripost stance (defensive and reflect damage back)


TKM:

-dizzy

-legsweep (=knockdown)

-combo (3 pools at once)

-improved center of being

-tauntbonus

-meditate (healing bleeds, poison, disease and wounds)

-force of will

-powerboost


Master swordsman:

-armorbreak

-headhit

-powerattack

-berserk

-areataunt (!)

-swordflurry

-critical strike


Master fencer:

-bleed attack

-bodyhit

-scatterhit

-cripple attack

-blindattack

-binding strike

-advanced lunge (extended range)


Master pikeman:

-sweepattack

i also compared the damagetypes of meleeweapons you can choose:


Unarmed weapons:

1. energy

2. energy + heat we are the only meleeprofession that can deal heatdamage (although not a lot).

3. kinetic? there's no weapon that deals kinetic damage, but i hope that fighting without weapons IS kinetic damage. If this is not the case we won't have much to choose from.


2handed weapons:

1. kinetic

2. kinetic + acid

3. kinetic + cold


1handed weapons:

1. energy

2. energy + electricity

3. kinetic

4. kinetic + acid


Polearms:

1. kinetic

2. kinetic + cold

3. kinetic + electricity

4. energy

5. energy + electricity


And the defences:


TKM:

-melee defense 85

-unarmed defense 75

-ranged defense 55 (!)


total 215 (offense/defense/crowdcontrol = 3/5/1)


Master swordsman:

-2h melee defense 50

-ranged defense 60 (!)
