No, that is precisely what they are - I believe the devs have already said that you will not be able to equip armor unless you have the appropriate certification.

ZionHalcyon is correct, if you DO NOT have the first series of Mitigating numbers in the Novice box, you can not equip that style ofarmor. If you untrain the novice box that grants you the basic mitigators it will strip that armor off you.

Just read that myself, guess TKA will pretty much be required to double stack professions then.

So lets say I was a master BH/Master TK. Could I use armor as a TK?

As an unarmed fighter a Teras Kasi Warrior would rely on his or her ability to avoid taking blows in combat. Being as Teras Kasi is one of if not the fastest fighters in the game, wearing bulky armor would logicly slow you down. If ya get hit hard, that's what the doctor is for

So, what happens to the mabari belt I have with my TK specific attachments?Since it is considered armor, I wont be able to wear it.Will I get those back or will they give me the option to turn the belt into some kind of other belt? Or am I hosed?

Hmm... I could dispell many concerns here with facts, but I'm not sure how publically known the facts are. And I still have an NDA.

The one thing I can say is that as a TKA you will not want to wear armor.

I wish I could say more but I can't find the info I want to say in the public docs.

Also, some things you think of as being armor now will not be in the CU.

I wish I could be more specific but I don't want to get in trouble. I hate not knowing what isn't public knowledge.

I'm trying to think of what you might be trying to say, and am drawing a blank.... hehehe ... maybe its just me!! Now that its open tot he public, I dont think there is anything left for the NDA to protect other than the old discussions and decisions they made in the past.....

I think its safe to say that it is VERY unlikely that you will be able to extract any skill tapes out of anything.
