I looked at the current character builder and noticed that UA3 will be gone with the CU. This may sound stupid, but it has always been one of my favorite animations in the game since i first saw a TKM use it to solo a fambaa unbuffed (no med buffs anyway) when i was a newb.
I'm excited to see what is in store for TKM, (cure dizzy/stun/blind !!!!!) but i'll be sorry to see the UA3 animation go, if that's what's going to happen.

The Animation issue is also very importent for me.
I think stun,dizzy,combo,head-,body-,leghit,blind,lunge,legsweep(kd) and spin attack will look the same(while you need other professions to do them..)
But whats about unarmed hit 1-3?are they in power attack(woud be best i gues)and whats about the new moves?
example:armor break,powerattack,bleed attack(new for teras kasi),critical strike,impale,sword flurry,cripplingand binding strike
will those get new animations(maybe no animations?)or will one of them get the uh1-3 animation?
I would be very disapointed ifi loose it even when i take other professions.
Gues the only answer will be:wait for the elite profession testing

Animation was what sucked about UAH3.
If you used it you were stuck spinning around for a few seconds and couldn't move till the animation was done, regardless of how fast the move was.
TKA is no longer about powerful attacks, it's about defense, so of course we're going to lose some powerful moves.

The animations seem to be somewhat random, so I imagine you might see it somewhere, sometime, somehow

I dont care about the power of the moves,i just dont want to loose the eye candy,even if i have to take multiple meleeprofessions to get what i had when i was teras kasi+non combat profession.
edit:yes they are random,but its not like you see all moves in one thisway..
if you use lunge you may see lunge 1 or lunge 2(also used for headhit) animation,guess it will work the same with others(kd1+2 for leg sweep,spind attack 1+2 for spin attack and combo 1+2 for combo attack).
ps:i would play a teras kasi with no power and no defence ,buti wont playone with no style

I agree with the others. I enjoy and love the great animation of TK
without this, TK looks boring, naked - no eye catcher anymore
Long time ago I showed SWG a good friend. He is a material arts fanatic but this animation fascinated him. He told me how near the animation are on the real movements of material art sports.
And it was a reason for him to start to play SWG
Please give us our animation back. It is one thing which will impress non-SWG-player much more as you think.
It impress' ourself.
And the artist who created this did a great work.
So please, think about the animation, please repeat your great work again - thanks a lot

The reason the moves are impressive is because they're motion-capture. They're from real martial artists doing real moves in real life, just digitized and put into the game. I don't think any MMORPG comes even close to SWG as far as animation (even if some recent games have surpassed it in terms of raw graphics).

Matrix online. But I still prefer SWG.
Id like to see the UA3 animation go. I prefer to stay on the ground when fighting
Theres always the possibility of new combat animations, who knows.
