Thread: Unarmed Master, now no VK, how to dish out damage?

I'm 40k xp from Novice TKA and getting my VK's back. I just tried to kill a blue-con mob, and woah, my damage is now back to horrible. I was consistently hitting for around 85ish damage, all the while getting smacked around.

My question is, what am I to do now? Do I spam specials that eat up my HAM, or do I take the beating and regen after each fight? If I spam specials, which ones will work best without killing me?

Any suggestions?

Lucky for you you can turn back now and grab a gun before you waist time on this uterly pathetic class the devs have **edit**ed up.Like me who spent time since release to get to 2/2/3/2 just to be **edit** on the date of 13aug2003.

If you didn't notice, they greatly increased the damage of unarmed specials to make them more effective.

try it out... get some tatooine sunburn and some neutron pixie and be god for 6 minutes at a time.

I've been using the special skills. Problem is, when attacking a lair, the critters can heal the lair faster than I can destroy it. Something is seriously wrong with that. The delay when using specials is MUCH greater than using just the standard VK attack.

In fact, in testing, I find I do the same damage with my VK's (which I'm no longer certified for) as I do unarmed. The difference is, I can hit MUCH faster with the VK's. Hmm...does this make me kill quicker? Does 85ish damage every 1.6 secs outweigh the 150-200 I dish out every 4 secs?

Maybe I'll still use my VK's after all...I'm gonna take a beating any way I go about it...

For crap's sake, you have to kill all the creatures before you attack the lair. This has always been the intent, and recent lair hitpoint beefs have almost ensured it.
