dizzy only really works on humanoid opponents. It gives them a chance to fall prone whenever they change postures. which is why ppl use dizzy and lunge, forces them to change posture and perhaps to nock them prone which gives us a huge damage bonus.
KD2 (not KD1) has a chance to cause dizziness but is not guarenteed. So if you knock ur opponent down but don't dizzy him u got 30 seconds to wait till you can try to lunge/KD him again. Since most fights are done and over before 30 seconds have elapsed that means you waste ur chance.
So dizzy, dizzy, dizzy ur opponent till it takes then slap him with a lunge to force the posture change!

To add to the above, it really only seems to be useful against other players as far as I know (I don't PvP so I can't confirm). Right now using dizzy against a humanoid NPC and then lunging them or knocking them down removes the dizzy effect.

Hey guys. I used to read these forums everyday, but havnt had time in the last 2 weeks or so. SO i looked today and i see alot of talk about KD having a timer now or something and that some people prefer lunge + dizzy. Now.... what exactly does dizzy do? and why is lunge + dizzy a good combo compared to KD? Thanks!

Dizzy is working on players, there's no question there. I've had a creature dizzy me and forced me to kneeling, then I'd spend the next 10 seconds trying to get up. The problem is vs NPC.
What's the point of hitting them with dizzy after you knocked them down? Isn't that sort of pointless?

I think if you knock someone down then apply a dizzy to them it does not wear off.
I fell down about 5 times yesterday after being knocked down then having a dizzy put on me.
This could just be because they are BH specials.
