Thread: An idea for a new TK weapon
It just came to me now...
Being a practitioner of mostly Korean martial arts, I do alot of kicking. Why not have a weapon that attatches to the lower leg or foot? I hate VK's and the idea that to be effective you need to use VKs against anything with armor. If we have to use weapons, even though were supposed to be an unarmed class, why not give us a couple more?
I want to get a Vibro Heel!
Now I still like my ideas posted here for damage types more, but hey maybe no one else does.

There should be vibro elbow pads, knee pads, shin pads, boots, and helmet at least. Knuckles use ua skill irl btw.
The idea of Unarmed is "Open Hand" or "Empty Hand"
IRL the majority of weapons including hands are interrelated in theory and practice.
Phillipino Martial Arts can be effectively used with open hand, knife, stick, or sword.
we dont need more weapons.
we need more moves.
we need grappling.
we need to be able to pull guard, do takedowns, establish the mount, ground and pound, or use submission holds (chokes , armbars, etc...).
Grappling is great for one on one, but you don't want to go to the floor in a group fight. I'll say it again! What we need is a special move that snares or roots the opponent so that it cannot move for a short ammount of time... the exact same effect that a Scout's Trap has. This way its not like knockdown, where people cant fight back. They can still fight, just not move for a few because we "grabbed" them.
And yes, I'd prefer that TK has NO weapons.
But if were forced to have one, I'd like to dee a couple more for variety's sake. Bladed footwear or a Vibro unit in the heel would be cool, being that I'm one who lives to kick, just as much as punch.
Armor that works to add to unarmed damage (spiked armor) but possibly at the cost of ham or so forth.
The armor wouldn't be a weapon per se, but the effects of wearing weaponized armor would be felt in the damage taken by others?
