Thread: TK board getting a little dull
reasons
1) less comunication of ideas and new concepts
*note* i see some from time to time, its nice to see more
2) our corespondant is on vacation
*note* probably a big reason , if he was back im sure he would be finding new things for us to play with, or somthing
3) every post seems to ask or statethe same questions over and over
*were to get unarmed exp
*where is the trainers
*is knucklers good
*im new to tk
*does defenses stack
*what is the best method to level tk
*what are good professions to match with TK
It gets boring to answer the same questions over and over, and since im not geting paid for i, and neither are alot of other people, the board has seemed to just be a list of questions that rarely get answered for the most part.
use search
start posting interesting stuff, even if its not even releated to Star Wars but to TK
Id love to read more storries about TK adventures that people have
i like the stories about how you owned somone the other day etc etc
its fun to share new ideas about what our vissions are for our class.
lets not let the dablers take control of these boards, and keep the cool stuff coming =) even for the sense of entertainment factor.
ya questions are important and people have alot of them, but every post...gets a tad old
Ok, I hear ya. I'm new to this profession in SWG, but I'll give it a shot.
An inmate, being escorted outside by myself and my partner, and unhappy about having to do fresh air by himself, makes (another) threat to a fellow officer's family. I yell at him, "that's it!", and look at my partner and ask, "are you with me on this Bruce?" Bruce nods, so I turn and fire a feint, a finger jab, at this scumbag's eyes. He reacts naturally and raises his hands defensively. Already though my lead-leg groin kick is rising from the floor, and connects with a satisfying 'whump'. He gasps and instinctively grabs his crotch, and doubles over. By then I've already taken a sliding step forward, and drive a knee strike up and forward right into his face. He goes right over backwards.
I jump on him, ram my knees up under his armpits, getting him in a full mount position. He's now helpless, and stunned, and I'm so pissed off I'm right crazy. I'm yelling, "don't you EVER, EVER, threaten anyone's family again you stunned fu**ing goof!"
The panic alarm goes off as this little episode has been spottedon the cameras, and Bruce starts trying to pull me off. He succeeds and I stand up on my own at this point. Finally, a half dozen officers have run around the corner and are all over the scrote, slapping some handcuffs on him, and asking us what the he** happened.
When it's all sorted out after the incident briefing, my partner has backed me up, and I'm a hero. No one is asking any questions, and since we don't run a tape on every camera until after the alarm has gone off, I look like a hero.
Oh, I forgot to mention why I blew like this: this PoS raped a 12 year old girl and sterilized her.

Swordsman is getting pretty boring too, and I've stopped going to the Fencer and Pikeman boards. I guess all the active posters quit, or maybe there's just nothing left to discuss...
Yes, but last time I started a discussion itstatred getting out of my comfort zone, and I stpped posting.
I have no big adventures at the moment, as my gaming system went down and I'm waiting for my hard drive to arive.
All my past adventures go something like... I fought, I died. I ran back and fought summore, and I died again.
well i hang out on these boards more then i play, cause the games getting a little boreing. hehe
but doesn't mean i love my TK any less. im also a MCH, and i would drop it in a second for a master elite elite profession. i just love the TK class i guess.

I think maybe people are in limbo right now with the pending changes to CH and TKA comming up....right now everyone is anticipating Mounts and Player Cities and stuff like that.
I beleive we have expressed our concerns till we are blue in the face and right now the just anything else to talk about....I myself and not intersted in posting anything either...seems you took over my role in posting alot...ha! I am mostly looking for adventurous things to do and mostly to PvP and Badge quests now...so I go to other posts for this stuff.
There just isnt much to talk about until the new changes come out....

well at least the tka boards aren't full of whiners like the ch boards.... Those postsa are either ch's whining that they get nerfed once again orothers whining too get us nerfed... it was a reall relieve too finally see some good not whining posts on a forum..... as too the ch forums i can only /sigh

You're quite right, getting a little boring. We'll be all a buzz soon with the new changesI'm sure, but for now, I'm with you...sick of answering the dabbler questions. The FAQ will be up soon so we can just point them there and forget it.

If it makes you feel any better, after I master TKA I am going to start working on Swordsman.
As far as unbalance between TKA and the other melee class goes, it is my *hope* that the current imbalance exists because TKA is a sort of "base" melee i.e. there are not various weapons and their stats to consider when tweaking the profession. My wishful thought is that the love that is being shown to TKA will then be transfered to the other melee classes. I hope the devs won't prove me wrong.

I respect the tkas that think as you do, but i find nothing but resentment against the tkas that believe they should be better than the other melee professions at no added skill cost (i have seen quite a few too). Of course none of this really matters to me anymore because tomorrow, god willing (bah i am not regligous, but the phrase just fits too good not to use it), i will be a thief in ffxi 
wooden flute, wow thats a good idea, I wish I could play a wooden flute as master tka!
