Got a question for all youTK folks.

Im doing a bit of research and i would like it if you guys could answer a few questions for me,after i get done with my research i will be submitingwhat i expect to be a rather extensive post dealing with the current game balancing issues going on.

So please answer thease questions andalso let me know if i can quote you on what your answers are.

How do you define your role in a group in this game?

I would define you as a tank type (I.E. you hold a mobs attention well the rest of us do damage)

If you agree that your a tank type,

do you think (taking into consideration the defence bonus you get) that you would be able totake the damage that some of the higher level mobs in the gameput out. (im talking in a group setting with healers backing you up, DR. buffs, armor, ECT.)When answeringthis also take into consideration a real time battle, includeas many aspects of real group combat as you can think of (I.E. time it takes a healer toget you a stim, time it takes untill a healer can heal again VS a mob that hits for over 500 every 2 seconds or so)

If youdo not think yourprof could take such damage what could/should be done in order to get your prof to the point where it couldhandle this type of situation?

Thank you for your time and assisting me in gathering some information.

Pretty much all melee professions believe they should be able to tank the uber mobs if properly supported (in my opinion this means doctor buffs and heals from either yourself if you are a good healer, or group medics. if it is a high level thing it might even require multiple healers). We have to believe this because if we can't tank something, we generally can't damage it.

If the monster does not hit your mind at all, it is possible in theory to tank even krayts as a master tka. The problem is that if you get unlucky and hte monster keeps on hitting your mind, there is nothing you can do (unless you are a "zabrak, theuber powergaming race") except watch as you die even though you are being chain healed. In my opinion, the major thing that stops players in general from tanking is mind damage. If the devs did something about mind damage (lol i have no idea how they would balance it, but it needs to be done if soe really wants player tanks and medical skills to useful).
