How effective will a pure TKA be in combat? I'm currently a Master Ranger working my way up pistols but I'm thinking of dropping all ranged combat skill for TKA. I was worried about how I would be able to pull creatures but realized I could still use a cdef without any marksman skill. (Doable? or unrealistic?)
I'm planning on the following:
Master Ranger
TKA Master
Novice Medic 0-0-1-0
Anyways, I know there are a couple TKA / Rangers out there. How is it working out? Thanks.

It might be doable. I'm currently Master TKA/CH/Scout with novice medic. I've never had novice marksmen. The only times I use my pets in battle is when I want to win quickly or if I go against really big things. Otherwise I'm generally alone. For pulling, I've always used traps. It can get tricky with social creatures, but patience always paid off.

I was thinking of pulling with traps but that puts you in the 50m range at most. With a cdef, you can at least stand at 64m and hope it lands on your target. =P

I rarely use a pistol to pull. I either run up toa creeps agro range and wait (works for when there are more then 2) or target 1 so the other gets pulled (works if there are only 2 creeps generally).
Only times I use a pistol is when a pull goes bad and I pull to many or a get an add on for one reason or another...whip out the pistol and double bleed and FD ![]()

i do the same. when i don't feel like using pets i use my cdef. no marksman skills but you can still shoot at 'em. they'll come after you even if you miss.

I thought having pharm1 would help in stim-b effectiveness. But if that's not the case, I'll take your advice.
So I picked up brawler last night and I'm dreading the grind. Being so slow and missing a lot is really discouraging. I'm sure it will get a lot better when I grab TKN. Is a VK worth it at this point? or will it make things worse?
Thanks

May I ask why medic 0//0/1/0 ? That little bit of Medicine use won't do you much good... no way you can use Stim C's that way, even if they are highly experimentated down on 'ease to use'.
Would be better IMO to get First Aid I, that +15 injury treatment helps to lower the variance on the healing amount.. not much but every bit helps.
