I am closing on on TKA, only perhaps another 8 million hours slog and ill be there, the excitement is building.

I bought a set of knuckles before I realised you needed a cert for them (I know...stoopid is as stoopid does).

I was wondering, what IS a good pair of knuckles, what stats are important.

What is an average speed, what speed do I work at without them ? what is a good speed ?

I am wondering for example If I have a set at 2.5 and equip then now (pre TKA) the will the speed offset the damage nerf ?

And damage range what is mediocre and what is good ?

I intend to only go Unarmed and TKA will this be viable or do the parts of Master Brawler demand my attention.

Thanks in advance for help.

well a good set of VK would be around 170+ for a TK novice. around 2.1 spd u can get Power Up's that reduce the speed or Inscrease the damage.

If u going to use vk Make Sure ur buffed as a teras kasi master the main reason i dont use my 213 2.2 speed pair is because the ham cost is So **edit** high i kill my self befor my traget so i dono use them i spam my moves.

Go full power frist after that toss ur VK out the door

The primary attribute to look for in VKs is the lowest HAM possible. I think right now that's like 37/53/37. Use powerups to reduce this further, particularly the cursed Mind cost, because that's the hardest thing to recover from. And yeah, you're going to knock the spit out of yourself with your own special moves if you're not careful.

The secondary attribute is damage. Don't worry too much over having superhigh damage, though; you now have an Armor Penetration of 1 and you're about doubling your damage even on dinky VKs.

Speed, arguably, isn't that important. Maybe at the lower levels, when you don't have Unarmed Speed very high, but don't sweat it. Just buy the lowest HAM cost VKs you get, then have one set sliced for damage and one for HAM. See which works best for your playstyle and current situation.

When you equip VKs pre-TKA then you don't get teh damage bonus on them but you get the HAM costs and the speed. I used VKs since I started brawler so I could get that speed boost. Although the HAM costs are killer, you hit a lot quicker which can help.

VK's going up to unarmed IV and TKA novice are under-appreciated IMHO.

It's been at least my experience so far.... that for losing a mere 20 - 30 points of damage.. your hitting twice as much as opposed to without VK's.So for every 180points without VK's... your doing 300points with vk's in the same time period.

HAM costs sucks...

I've also took up medic when I started my TKA, so I can mitigate the HAM problems to some degree.. but then of course my mind gives out.

Thanks for this.

Ive got basic medix skills, Im basically doing a wookie TKA, BIO, CH combo so me and the animals can get stuck in feral wookie style....

The powerups you refer to are the ?general melee kit? is it easy to discern their HAM benefit ?

Thanks, Wargfang
