Thread: Medic mind drain
Just wondering. Seems like evertime I heal myself in combat it is taking way too much out of me. Is it focus or willpower that needs to be higher? My willpower is much higher than focus. Should I balance the 2 out to help?
Ahigher Focus decrease the cost. About your question on balancing them both...I can't help you...make some tries with differente values.
For what it worth, Focus and Willpower on my character are at 500 but with 1100 mind and powerboots my mind pool is enough huge to allow multiple heals.
Focus is your friend. Willpower is your buddy.

Mine are above. I could stimpack all day. I can even heal all mind drain from a woundheal or buff before my timer is up. That's just me though.
And, armor is your enemy. You have to balance it all out. For instance, I have a focus and willpower of 500. But with my admittedly cheap armor on, I think they're down around 300. So, I have two choices. Take my armor off everytime I heal then put it back on. Or, wait until the battle is over to heal myself with my armor off.
If I want some mind left after a tough fight.
However, maybe powerboost will fix my problem.
It's focus that governs the heal cost, but quite honestly, you must have negative focus if you're juicing your mind in combat. Are you wearing armor or using vibro knucklers? Or are you fighting mobs that are too strong for your skill level? Are you using stim A's and healing multiple times? Boosting focus might help, but not that much, especially if you're draining your current mind pool - you're doing something else that's blasting your mind pool. For what it's worth, I've found that willpower (regen stat) is more useful than focus (cost stat). If I had to pick one, it'd be willpower.
