Thread: Is a combat medic/tka combo viable ?
If you can't make MCM, it's not worth it.
All the poisons/diseases below Cs are too weak. The ranged healing is quite nice however, but if you think about it... you are in range of the mob anyways, so why bother with ranged when you are likely within medic stim range?
I have a Teras Kasi Master friend that is working on combat medic a bit. Obviously he can't master both but he says it really isn't all that great. The heals are wonderful when we're out grouping. But, the diseases and poisons sound like they're not all that good. Maybe he's not using good disease or poison packs? Who knows.
Give it a shot if it interests you. So far, I haven't been all that impressed.
Sure, why not? You can heal, you can disease, you can kick melee butt! I would guess that you might be better served mixing in some doc and CM for the buffs and the disease, but that is just me, not sure if it can be done.
depends on what you want to accomplish with CM.
i was a master CM/TK and i loved it, the only problem i had was, doctors had the extra experimentation points (i think i heard something about this being changed) to produce the neededcomponents for the CM top produce thebest poisons/diseases/stims.
so if they did give the experimentation to combat medic or if they are going to then it is a fun class to be. if the combat medic class doesnt have the ability to craft equal components to make the best stims/poisons/diseases then its not that great. you either end up with less than top quality crafted items or you are going to have to rely on a doctor to produce the components for you. and then you produce the final product.
keeping a full group alive while on a hunt was one of the things i liked most, but in the end doctor provided allthe healing skillCM (unfortunatley notrange though) and a whole lot more. if i had some more skill points, that would be the profession i would use them on. but TKM/MD is a awesome combo.
