Thread: Getting Good Teras Kasi xp
I did unarmed in a day and a half about.. Mostly because I did it constantly.. I found that it's best just to fight anything that cons yellow. Go to Rori, to the rebel outpost.. Even if your imperial.. Do vir vur's, and squals. As soon as you hit unarmed 4, you might try shallow tortons.. I'm not sure how much better it is now with the new bonues, but I bet its a lot easier to do now.
There are two schools of thought on this - one is to grind until you get TKM, the other is to play the profession slowly in order to learn the way of the Teras Kasi. I chose to use a hybrid of the two in order to get to novice - i levelled my unarmed fast in order to get to the novice skill and now im trying to learn how to fight efficiently in order to be the best tk i can - here's how i did it -
- Get a good pair of vk (ill explain in a minute) that have at least a 2.2 speed
- Get a good crate of stims - you'll need them
- Get them sliced and pick up a couple of crates of powerups for speed ifthey aresliced for damage
- Go to Bestine,Tattoine (this is where i did it, if there are other hot spots please add) and start out with diseased bocats, and then when you are able to get them zucca boars.
- Equip your vk's and attack the critters - use beserk1 and ONLY beserk 1 (and intimidate1/warcry1 if it will stick)- it boosts your damage enough to compensate for the lack of qualification for the vk's. You will deal damage at a fast enough rate with them equipped and withbeserk1 to more than make up for the certification encumberance. Once the critters are dead, tap the lair, wash, rinse, repeat.
Now is where you need to make the decision to learn or to just grind - I am a roleplayer and chose to learn slowly.
- You can use the same kind of grind on huurton lairs on Dantoine - they give great xp and dont db -
- I have been fighting them there for a while and have learned tons about TK - how to debuff and deal big damage and i have macros for both - once you hit novice and are certified for vk the grind (as its called) becomes a joy and fighting gets really fun
- I tend to debuff as much as i can in order to make the critters weak - I dont wear armor (but might when the RIS armor is fixed, as it is designed for melee and looks like a martial arts kind of armor) and so i need them to be as confused as possible
good luck and hopes this helps -
