Devs, how about adding some flare to the melee professions by adding a line of katas for each melee profession. Novice could grant a basic kata and the 000x line in each elite profession could add a new one. A master melee fighter would be able to do 5 or 6 katas reflecting their profession.

Granted, these would only be for show, but would be kind of cool. Something to consider I guess.

For you all who go Kata? Here is definition:

A system of basic body positioning and movement excercises, as in karate or judo.

Sounds cool basically like could be bows and stuff like tkn could have a specific /teraskasibow move and atmaster something like um hmm i dunno. Fencers and other could have cool moves or katas as you said to .Anyway i think its a cool idea.

I think they tried this (or wanted to) in beta but because it was implemented poorly it didnt go through.

This definitely wasn't in beta, but it was brought up before as an idea on this board and most people thought it was neat.

If anyone wants to see some top notch in-game katas with a variety of weapons, check out the demonstrations in Soul Caliber. I'd love to see a variety of weapon katas similar to that in SWG.

I also love the idea of a special TKA bow.

This has been suggested since beta, I remember it clearly. And I remember the dev reply that said it wouldn't happen.

Whether it was actually implemented...dont think it was.

Neat idea, I just don't think it should be brought up yet... as there are many many more things that need fixed beforehand. Maybe bring it back up in 2005.

ya TK should be abler to start a fight in different stances, certain stances benefiting certain attacks....

that would own, seing a TK go up like in the crane stance then own you ...
