Just curious.. I'm working on my real character, and was on TC2 earlier testing out the effectiveness of these attacks, and found them to be terribly ineffective.. Only effect worth using in my findings was intimidate2 from master brawler on high level mobs.. so I'm wondering, am I doing this wrong?do any status effects lower the resistsso I should put that on first? or are these attacks completely useless against high level mobs?
Thanks.

In PvE the only state I try to stick all the time is intimidate.

blind and intimidate are usefull in PVE. Although for most mobs I don't bother at all. If i'm realy worried about the mob hurting me, then I bother.

That's what I'm wondering about.. in those situations where you do need the debuffs to tank effectively (PvE), are you actually able to stick them? I seem to be resisted endlessly, so I'm wondering if some of these debuff's actually lower resist rates (tried searching, couldn't find anyone who really knew) or if they will just always be resisted.

Stun lowers defense, blind lowers accuracy, dizzy gives a chance of falling whenever a posture change is made. All are handy, but for creatures dizzy has no effect and for others the effects of stun and blind are a bit subtle. Intimidation's effect is obvious, because immediately you notice them doing half damage.

Yes, granted some mobs won't take some states no matter what. I think the majority will take a state, but at times you really have to work at it.
There are no debuffs that I know of that will reduce the resistance to any of these though.
Here is an interesting note however... states applied by force powers bypass all resists :/

Stun reduces damage done to you by the stunned target significantly. Not as much as Intimidate, but noticably. I'd say 30%, roughly.

For pvp those states are absolutely essential...especially intimidate and stun. Blind is great against swordsman, pistoleers, carbineers and any class that doesnt have a lot of accuracy to begin with. Stun helps against everyone and dizzy is great if you have a knockdown to follow with.
For Pve.....other than intimidate I dont bother using states....except dizzy-knockdown which only works occasionally against high end creatures.

If their restraint is super high than ull never be able to stick a debuff like blind or stun on a high lvl mob, but usslay I only use them only for PvP, only devuff I use for pve is inti2 .

pve use intimidate2, when fighting NS or singing mountain clan or other high level mobs ill stick blind on em, if i am soloing a higher level ns or singing mountain clan i try to lay all the states on them every once and a while...
pvp STATES DECIDE WHO WINS. simple as that. intimidate2 or 1 immidiately to knock their damage then stun then kd2, why stun first? lowers the def and gives a better chance that the kd2 succeeds, after they are kd stick a blind on them and don't forget about CoB , CoB is a must for PvE and PvP
