Thread: Tree progression? (new to TK)

What order do you do the trees. I was thinking speed first, then it really doesn't matter? Any thoughts...

You already attack fast enough as it is so speed doesnt matter, make sure you get Balancing first. Unarmed Knockdown 1 has saved my hide many many times.

sorry but id go Power Tech it gives you speed and Damage first , as speed does mater , KD doesnt , then go which ever also get a speed sliced VK till 4 in power then a damage sliced one as speed doesnt mater once you have the power line , then but this is me id go medatate line after

Just to let you know, I did Power, then Meditative, then Balancing...but that's just me.

I would do the entire Power tree first. Then the first box of Balance, for the KD. Do all of the Meditate line then go back to Balance.

Its been said already but you'll save yourself a lot of headache by doing the power line first, the balance line second, spending combat xp on precision strike as it comes and meditation last. Once you get spin attack 1...and then 2 you won't believe how fast you will level up. I also like this method because by the time you get meditation and realize that you will never again have to step foot in a hospital waiting for heals you'll find yourself ass-over-tea-kettle in love with this profession.

That's a unique way of putting it. But yeah, Power, Balance 1, Meditation, Balance All.

What i did was first take the power tree after balance 1, i like knockdow, then after power IV, I took the balance beause i got knocked down and dizzied so much by mokks and jantas, and bled, so those skill mods helped, then i took the meditative, that was just easy after spin attack II, and i took combat precision as it came becaue of the combat xp.

I always did Power Technique first. There's a huge damage and speed bonus in that branch (the speed helps quite a bit, as well as the damage). Then I do Balance Conditioning, then I get Meditate and Precision Striking together.


Some people say do Balance 1 first for knockdown, thenup to Meditate II for Power Boost, but I didn't notice much of an advantage by doing this. Stuff hardly scratches you when you're grinding professions with the equipment we have these days anyways, so you might as well just spend your experience on boxes that are actually going to benefit you.

A TKN isn't at the cap while using unarmedhit2. Unarmedlunge1will suffice for getting out of bad situations, and it has twice the range thatunarmedknockdown1does.


Takingknockdown first is a waste of experience this early, since you'll get2 maybe 3unarmedhit2's in at bestbefore the target gets back up.If you're at Power Tech 4 and you're speedcapped then it's a different story. If you're luckyyou can then get 4-5 hits on the target before it gets back up.


It's wise to get Power tech 4 first, by then you'll have the damage and speed to take advantage of the 5 seconds your target is knocked downfrom a knockdown attack.
