I did Feral Banthas on Tat (they spawn near the Krayt Graveyard). They have just over 1k HAM and give you just over 1k xp, at that level.

Yes, they swarm you and they db. I've done it buffed and unbuffed, but I would recommend buffed.

This is back when I first began to play this game in April of '04:

Unarmed 1-2 I did right on Coronet, outside of Tyrena. Killed hundreds of meatlumps and Ragtags at first, then moved up to Swoopers (man were they tough at first:smileyvery-happy

Unarmed 3-4 I did killing the spawns in Kor Vella, then finally I joined the Empire and began to kill dirty rebel terrorists.

At Novice TK, and after that first huge increase in damage output, I found a guild on Dantooine and began to take Piket missions because they didn't DB, gave good xp, and didn't outdamage the stims I could use at the time ( I was also leveling medic)

Around then I started to surf the forums and found out that many people went up the Power tree first, so I followed suit. Once I hit 0/0/3/0 I noticed I was killing those same Pikets fairly easy. My guildie gave me my first suit of composite and I felt confident enough to take on Rancors and other small creatures on Dathomir. ( I avoided Nightsisters like the plague, even before they used the Force and did specials, they whooped on me pretty good.)

I never even knew what a buff was until I joined my guild on Dantooine. At least a good month into my playing time.

Gawd I miss the old days

Too many people just try to master TK to "own" in PvP or kill jedi and never stop to enjoy the profession (or any profession, for that matter) I have such great respect for it because it is a profession I leveled slowly, had to learn all the ins and outs, and grew to love. This was also during the holo grind days, so it was pretty common to see people master and drop things.

Stop and smell the roses sometimes, you'll appreciate them more
