Thread: How usefull is meditate?
Heals wounds at higher levels (master I believe).
Does not seem to affect regen rates at lower boxes.
What defensive line?
Tortza, Eclips.
oh thanks. I plan on mastering it though.
The defenseive line i am refering to is the one that gives +30 to melee defense and +30 to ranged defense. The tree on the far right.
I used meditate last night and it saved my butt. After a fight with a mauler human, I noticed I was "bleeding". This is a very nasty DOT, and just trying to heal myself, I ran out of mind quicker than I was able to heal. I remember seeing that meditate would help with poison or diseases. So I did a /meditate and sat. What I noticed is that the effects of the bleed were almost completely negated. The only downside is that you cannot heal yourself while you're meditating. So I turned off meditate, healed a couple times, and noticed that with meditate off, the damage I was taking from bleed was still greater than I was able to heal.
So I turned it back on and waited until bleed wore off. Which was a fairlylong time actually. And during that time, not only did the bleed effects get negated, but I was able to regen health and mind to full in the process. I only have the TK novice portion of meditate, so I'm not sure how much more effective or if it is at all at other levels.
So, although it is probably largely useless, it does have it's purpose.
Hope that helps.
Meditate skill is awesome when you get to master meditate. You will no longer EVER worry about wounds and the healing of bleeding, poision, and disease is very nice.
The force of will command will come in handy from time to time(if you can get it to work).
The power boost command is an utter joke. I'm being literal here. I think the devs put it in game just so they could watch us beat ourselves up when we first train it.
I'm not sure that defensive skills are actually working as intended at this time.
