Tried fighting Nyms, y'know, just to see what they were like. Tried an elite Nym, was doing good (although his armour was sucking up my damage alot) and then he managed to hit me with a action pool bleed and wipe me out. Now I don't mind the death, I kinda expect it when I try these sorts of things for teh first time. How else can I learn? But I was wondering if bleeds of this manner were the norm with Nyms.

I get them from elite guards and patrols from time to time. They not only bleed out a full bar in one shut, but they leave me with 200+ wounds to a sub stat.

Tried Nyms last night...my problem was just getting TO them! Everywhere was a veritable wall of aggressive reds. It was like navigating a minefield!

Is there a particular direction that is safest to take my missions?

I like south to west. North is just plain sick.

And I've seen Nyms do ALL kinds of attacks on me that range from DOT, to uber damage, to just regular attacks. They are capable of a lot of different attacks.

nyms are awesome cuz when there are 4 of them together and you attack one of them... what do they other 3 do? do they help out their buddy and fu_k u up? no they run like little pussies ahahaha. anyway yea nyms do hurt when they hit you. KD helps alot on them. tho if your not careful they can still f u up. dizzy is good on them too.

Yeah, they did something sick to the spawn rate on Lok. Going North from the stronghold is just insane.

To the original poster, yeah, every now and then you'll be hit with a really bad bleed that leaves you dead and with 200-300 wounds to a support stat. I also got hit with a 900 damage mind shot from an elite guard once. They're nice because they don't aggro and they're not social, but if they hit you with a special, you're gunna hurt.
