First of all, if you REALLY want to use an armor set, use the Chitin Armor, a good one from a good Master ArmorSmith.

Now, here is what I do and what I think everyone should do. 1 week ago I bought a complete set of the best Chitin Armor set possible. (except the gloves and boots...I'm trandy). I made some tests vs hard mobs, with and without my armorset, and it was obvious that having no armor was way better.

But but but ! This is what I did. I sold my Chest armor, Helmet and Leggings, since they are the ones sucking up the Stats the most by far. I kept my Left/Right Bracer, Left/Right Biceps, Bandolier and Belt.

Those ones provide 1 AR each, with some Kinetic protection, with almost inexistant encumbrance. So it is simply better than nothing to have those, wich gives a total of 6 AR.

But what did you wear to match the armor that you kept ? :/ I had thought about buying a full set of chitin armor and having it sliced because a TKA that my husband was hunting with last night said it worked really well. Sorry I'm a girl I'mfashion conscious
