Thread: Why not give TKs a running speed mod? (Would help against Ranged)

Think about it... TKs are pretty much martial artist monks that undergo intense training. Why not assume they can run faster than the average Joe?

So, like if a normal marksman has a run speed of 100, why not allow the TK to have a 125-150 run speed?

That way, the ranged attacker will need to be farther out, and then RUN LIKE HELL to get away from the angry cheetah-like TK bearing down on him.

Granted, the marksman will probably STILL kill the TK with headshots and such, but it would make it much tougher for said marksman to engage. (He can't engage too close otherwise he's Knucker meat.)

Thoughts?

You'd have to give this to all melees IMO, not just TKA.

Seeing as the TKA is someone who trains their body for intense hardships and work , this would make sense ..

Other melees should get it also , but not the same speed as TKA, since TKA is someone who trains their entire body for combat, not just their sword hand..

Simple enough...

Regular melee gets +25%

Teras Kasi gets +50%

i DEFINITLY agree that there should be a new skill mod called movment spd and several classes should add to it, including all melee, scout and ranger.

I don't necessarily agree with Scout as they get Terrain Nav which is more in line with what they do. I'm not familiar with Ranger so I don't know how they work.

TKA in this game is nothing more than an Unarmed melee equivalent to 1h swords, 2h swords, and pikes. Therefore, just because you think that it "makes sense" fiction wise for a TKA to get this bonus, and moreso over other melee skills is just wishful thinking. If anything, they would put this at the brawler level so that all melees could take advantage of it. That being said, it probably won't happen at all.
