Thread: Do TKMs out there feel that Defensive Acuity is working now?
I am TKM, and I have to say that I haven't noticed much if any difference since Defensive Acuity was supposedly fixed. In addition to being TKM, I also have all the dodge bonuses available to the Fencer Profession except what is offered at the Master Level--this is a significant bonus to dodge. Yet, I still have yet to dodge while fighting unarmed--not once.
So...is this Defensive Acuity thing really fixed, or is it doing something other than increasing the likelihood of dodge, block, and counterattack? Or maybe bonuses like dodge, block, and counterattack really DON'T apply regardless of which fighting style you are using and are, instead, style specific (dodge-fencing, block-polearm, counterattack-2handsword)?
Thanks in advance for your responses!
If indeed these passive defensive bonuses do not cross-over, then what in the world is the point of the TKA profession ability Defensive Acuity? Now perhaps all characters have an innate, though minute, ability to dodge, block, or counterattack and, therefore, Defensive Acuity would increase this minute chance for TKAs. But if that is the case, I strongly feel that they need to increase the bonus that Defensive Acuity gives to these passive defenses. As it stands now, there is no noticeable difference in the number of times I d/b/c than I did before gaining this new ability calledDefensive Acuity.
Mister Heavy do you have any more information to give us on this subject?
I believe all they said was fixed is CoB, not defense acuity.
Since CoB enhances defense acuity (which is broken IMO) we haven't seen the proper effect of the new skill.
COB is absolutey awesome. I soloed a creature handlers rancor unarmoredlike it was a baby lastnight using CoB.
