Thread: How to pull as a TKA?
Hi,
Just lately the pull technique of attacking one creature/NPC from 50-60m with a melee attack to pull its friend seems to have stopped working.
I ran into two FS guys the other day, and couldnt get one to pull so foolishly I attacked them both with the help of my pet (Rancor). Needless to say we both got creamed. Could any other TKAs give me advice on the best way to pull creatures/NPCs when you have 2 together?
Cheers
Isskost
Put your pet on one of them. And pray KD/dizzy works on the other.
After that, remember to thank SOE for fixing this non-game-breaking "bug."
When you have two or more creatures together and you only want to pull one at a time, here's what you can do:
Approach from an angle in which you can get close to your target, while keeping the others on the far side of your target. Since your target is closest, it will declare an attack first, and its buddies will pay no attention since you haven't entered their attack radius yet and because you weren't the one attacking first. Then run in the opposite direction toward the rest of your group while your target follows. Then, voila! Instant ambush.Just make sure that by the time you actually attack your target that you're far enough away from his buddies so they won't jump in. (usually about40 to50 meters) It will only work on aggressive creatures because you want them to be attacking you. This can be applied to NPCs, but only when they're spread out a bit more.
Oh, and make sure your mask scent isn't on when trying to pull creatures, lol.
I've used this method successfully thousands of timesthroughout my path to TKM. And unlike the previous method, this will allow you to pick apart nests with more than two creatures and still only fight one at a time.
Good luck and happy hunting ![]()
Since I can't buff myself anymore and "they" fixed social creatures, I have been doing "hit and fade" ...
1. Determine a saferetreat direction - will need about 200m
2. Get 100m from target
3. tell your probot to attack (I carry 2 probots with medium armor)
4. /yell follow me afterprobot engage the target
5. turn and run away with probot following and mobs following - may have to say follow me periodically
6. Keep going until some of the mobs head back to the lair
7. tell probot to attack the one remaining mob and you kill it
get a marksman tree up to box four, and bleeda target from prone. Your bleeding target won't attack you until the bleed actually ticks and deals damageif you immediately /peace, so you can run out to 90 meters (limit of BAF rangefor socials) and then just wait for your objective to perk up and run to you.
I pull by drawing aggro and moving, like the other post said. But having a ranged chr. on another server I can say the aggro bug is a game-breaker.
If I would take cover and shoot a something it would never notice me and I could get 3 shots to drop it. However its friends would instantly "see" me. This was a major bug and totally defeats the /takecover functon. Also as everything is turning social these days.
Do you want to pull or do you want do you want the best exp ever?
If so, then become an imp if ur not.
Get an AT-ST
Get either a full wearable sliced suit of adv. ubese or comp. armor
Goto dantooine
Do Hurtoon Howler or Stalker missions
Have the AT-ST attack the lair
You pick off the Hurtoons
50k exp a base, 10 min per base, 300k exp per hours.
In one day, i did balance 1-3 and about 13k into Balance 4.

The mob and it's friends won't aggro until you actually do damage to the mob.
that hurtoon stuff doesn't work man, i let the at st shoot the lair constantly, mask scent, and pick of the ones around it but after a few kills i have 3 hurtoon picking on me and incapping me.
anything wrong?
