This is a link to a post by the chef correspondent. Someone has created a great website listing all the food and all the benefits you can get from it. Very good info.

I believe the benefits are base stats. Experimentation can improve them.

Happy buffing

Do food buffs have the afteraffects that or like spice does when they wear off?

Chef food is perfectly safe. The only afteraffect is a full stomach, and the fact that your stats will eventually return to normal.

I love Angerian Fishak Surprise, as a Master Doc I have no problem buffing my Health and Action, so that +430 to mind for 12 minutes is priceless...

I'd like to clarify Mister_Heavy's statements of: "Ibelieve the benefits are base stats. Experimentation can improve them. "

The stats shown on the website are indeed the result of experimentation. However, I find that I regularly get better results than shown here. It seems the resources used here were usually not very good. Also, this page does not give an indication of the stack size created. The chef gets the option to experiment on quantity, duration, and size of the buff. The description of thelist says that an equal number of experimentation points were spent on all three (which leaves one point left over that seems not to have been used.) So it is possible to sacrifice quantity in lieu of duration and/or buff size, or vice versa of course.
