Thread: what to choose first?
as a TKA novice, I will soon have enough xp to train my first box...my question is what should I choose first?
I am at work, so I don't remember names very well, but:
- should I go for KD first, meditate, or Dizzy ?
My opinion is that dizzy would be best, because with unarmed lunge, I can already start distabilizing my opponents.
however I would like to know your advice...
prolly dont take all my advice but.......
i went like this:
balance 1
power 1
meditate 1-2-3-4
power 2-3-4
balance 2-3-4
and in there somewhere youll qualify for persicion striking
Precision Striking uses Combat XP so you build that as you get it. You'll usually have that done or close to done by the time you get Meditate, Balance, and Power done.
This was my path, may not work for everyone, but it worked well for me.
Get Power I for dizzy, then balance I for knockdown.
You are right land a dizzy, then lunge, they will probably fall down anyway just like if they got a knockdown. So thus get Power I first.
Ive helped 2 guild mates achieve master in on my server, and 3 or 4 other random people who have sent me a tell. I have mentioned this also on simulare threads, and i will say it again.
IMO i feel the best way to master TK is
balance 1
power 4
med 2
balance 4
striking lvls itself
Master TK
balance gives KD, and you have UH2 at novis, so if you are a rebel or imperial, you can run missions from a head quarters somewhere and the NPCs give roughly 3.8 mil exp per kill, and are pretty easy to kill. Also get a chance at a holocron, and faction ponits
Power- this tree is nothing more then exp per second tree. Think of power as nothing but a way to get more exp faster. the higher you are, the faster you kill, and thus the more exp you can make per hour of game play.
med - novilty, but your only bonus for going balance is KD2, once you have power 4, if you can't kill 10k ham NPCs before they get up then you might want to invest in some good VKs I tell people to level med 2 simply for the power boost, its not important that you heal wounds off the bat IMO that is.
balance- the last tree to level
bonus-
*at novis TK you want to slice your VKs for damage
* try to solo your missions, because grouping is usualy not the best way to learn to be effiecient, and the exp can sometiems be alot worse
* if you know any CHs have them befriend a pet to you, so you can attack the lair with the pet and go in ninja style and gank away
*always good to build up that combat exp first before you hit the grind, having two boxes of striking gives you a good deal of toughness, and that is a very good bonus indeed.
*breath of heavn is your friend, find a master Chef, buy it, buy lots of it, use it, and your live will be much more for the easier
Not that far along TKA but this has been my path so far:
Balance 1
Balance 2
meditate 1
Now reason I did balance 1 first is because you get KD and since you're a brawler already you can do the KD + warcry combo. This is a better route than KD + dizzy since anything with 4 legs wont be affected by the dizzy. I took balance 2 for the 15% melee toughness damage reduction. Mostly just preference because I fiend for damage reductions. Looking back I should have gone to power 1 but most likely I'm going to go to meditate 2 to get power boost. After that it's gonna be a smooth sale up the power tree.
