You are entitled to your opinion but according to Sony's in-game holocron help system, as numerous posts on these and other SWG boards have pointed out, AFK-Macroing is legal, not against the EULA (which prohibits third party programs achieving this rather than in game macros) and has become a standard and acceptable method of play for many and by many groups and individuals in this game.

Again, you are however, free to have and express your own opinion as to its utility and the morality of its use but it would seem the validity of that tactic is fairly well established.

i will not help someone cheat, this is lame and ruins the game. Its very easy to do with macro's but i hate people who do this.

Actually this is not totally true. The EULA clearly states that "unattended play" is a violation of the Agreement.

Does it count as "unattended play" if you're watching TV while sitting at the computer? I do this sometimes when Alias is on. Can't miss Alias.

Here's a link that includes a description on the macro. I've only used it a couple of times when I'm watching TV or typing in guild chat and don't want to try and run around while I'm typing. It works, but I'd only use it against low-level creatures so you won't get much xp for it. http://www.flakshack.com/TerasKasiFAQ.html

There is amacro included in the TKA FAQ stickied at the top of this forum.

If you feel so strongly about AFK macroing I would suggest you request that the current correspondant remove the macro guide from the TKA FAQ...

Just my opinion, of course.

I know this was posted to try and help the cause of Dancers/Entertainers who do not like AFK Macroers.

That being said I would like to clarify something; it is not a violation of the TOS, the EULA, or any other rule in SWG to use a macro and be AFK. The CSR in this case was mistaken in their answer, and it has been sent along to their supervisor so that the rules can be clarified for those CSRs who may be confused on the policy.

I wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that the policies do not state that it is a violation. I am not trying to encourage AFK macros just simply making sure the policies are understood since in this case it was incorrect.

Thank you!

7. Do you feel that it is acceptable that the role of entertainers is being completely filled by people impersonating NPCs, leaving those who play the class with nothing to do? Do you plan to do anything about this, such as an auto-logout or making healing a more active process?

We understand the nature of this issue. In essence, we can’t prevent AFK people from playing, but one thing we are doing is looking at different ways we can encourage at-the-keyboard play.

(And I know this will come up again, so here is why we can’t prevent people from AFK. Given that this is an online game, there are people out there who are very smart and will learn how to play AFK no matter what we do. It is just the nature of the beast. So instead of keep it so that only high-end computer savvy people can AFK, we make it fair so everyone can do it instead of just an elite few.)
