I've decided to go back to TKA/Doc so I'll be ready to start the jedi quests. When I was a fencer, I used CoB heavily. When I was a TKA before, I rarely used CoB because from what I heard it was worthless.
Since I'm going to be TKA for presumably a very long time (until I finish a jedi template) I decided to take another look at CoB for TKA.
Honestly, all I know is that it helps your defenses but I dont know how exactly. Can anyone explain it to me? Does it improve melee defense, state defenses, or just a profession's dodge/counter/block/accuity def?
The description of accuity sayes that it improves your changes to react to a counter/dodge, but what exactly does that mean and how does it work and how well?

DA is our modifier that is used instead of dodge, block, or counterattack. Basically, it gives us a chance to do any of the three instead of just one of the three.
That being said it currently is not very helpful (see link here).
Center of Being, to my understanding, bases itself on your modifier (for us DA) to enhance your chances of performing a succesful "evasion." I believe it also "enhances" your "toughness" attribute, but unfortunately I don't have any facts on that one, just a hunch.

Defense acuity is used by TKA because we don't have dodge/block/counterattack. Our Defense Acuity activates instead to evade attacks. When DA activates it randomly blocks, dodges, or counterattacks. It uses the Defense Acuity bonus (and ONLY that bonus) to determine how often it works.
It doesn't go off nearly as much as the regular moves do for other professions. COB supposedly makes it go off more often, I've never verified it myself.
