Thread: Lack of Crafted CL54 Knucklers
I'll add my support to this plea. I think there is not a single other combat profession (with the exception of Doctor and CM) that doesn't have a craftable master-level weapon. Besides helping out the crafters, adding a range of weapons that could be used while working your way up in TKA would really help make the profession more interesting. I like my Katarns well enough, but I would really like a crafted weapon that I need to search out components for, to make the very best weapon that I can get. Also, not everyone has ADKs yet. To have the only decent weapons be quest loot that you can only get once means that many of us have felt forced to use these weapons (if only to increase attack speed and decrease action usage), often before getting our own ADK. When these weapons wear out, what are we supposed to do? I still don't have the NK Knucklers (and I am told they are not as good anyway), so what am I supposed to do when my Katarns wear out?
Before people jump in saying "buy another set" or "buy an ADK", you should know that I have bought another set and will be getting an ADK shortly (a few days shy of 1 year). I am simply trying to raise the larger issue: what do we do if we only have 1-2 master level weapons, if they are both loot drops, and they both get worn out? Are they forcing us to buy quest loot from others? What about people who have used their ADK on something else? I'd rather support crafters and buy new weapons as needed.

combat medic gets a master weapon: Alliance Disruptor. Requirements: MCM, CL54.
It's believed that the SAC on bare fists is 100. Most likely the SAC on a Blaster Fist with base dps of around 250 will be over 100. You could try a 4% speed, 4% damage slice on a Blaster Fist with a decent SAC and see how that compares, both will increase your base dps and both only take a Simple Toolkit for the Smuggler to use. Though from what I've seen on Chimaera 4% damage slice on a low SAC Blaster Fist will probably add about 9 to min and 20 to max damage.
Ok, did the math on a couple of low sac Blaster Fists I saw on a vendor search, the numbers in ( ) are the modified stats after a 4% Damage/Speed slice, I haven't actually bought them or gotten them sliced but these numbers are what the math figures out to, also I rounded everything down except the base dps of course since if the math holds up then you'll at least know what the stats would be but if the numbers actually get rounded off or used exactly then of course the final result would be a little higher.
239(+9=248)-519(+20=539) Elemental Damage 32, SAC 72 Base Speed 2.12(-.08=2.04) = Base DPS 192.93 (208.57)
