I have been wondering if the knight blade is better than the Katarn and if so, how much better?

I beleive the Katarn is a little better I have it and the damage is second to none among TK weapons, The Necrosis Nightblade is slightly less but still good. If you don't have either you might as well fight bare fisted. Both quests are on Kashyyk and the Katarn can be soloed besides the last fight(The Katarn).

The Nightblade has unarmed speed 10, unarmed damage 10 skill mods. It has comparable damage to the Knuckles of the Katarn except the Knuckles have 120 Cold damage also. Katarn also has a little lower SAC.

On aesthetics alone, the Katarn Knucks win
Those things look positively WICKED.

Necrosis at the end of the Myyydril cave has a chance of dropping the NightBlade.

Call me crazy, but I have an ADK on mine...I use it 90% of the time and only whip out the Katarns for someone who needs a serious a$$ whooping....and I figure the Katarns are cheaper to replace than the nightblade if they break and cheaper to replace 3-4 times than an ADK to preserve them...with the limited use they get, they will be intact for a loooong time ![]()

The unarmed damage mod on the nightblade is wasted. We no longer get the benefit of Unarmed Damage mods while using a weapon. I think it's stupid that the devs put this mod on a weapon.

I wish you could equip 2 of them at the same time
I personally favour the Nightblade, just because of the way it looks. Both are similar damage.
