Thread: Cannot Slice Knuckles of the Katarn

anyone else having trouble with getting theirs sliced?
yes I have run through ever possible fix it appears to me either you cannot slice bio-linked items anymore or you cannot slice the knuckles at all anymore, OR the Devs just hate me

You are incorrect I traded mine back and forth to yes a smuggler last night, she couldnt slice them though

After they were bio-linked?
I haven't owned a set of katarn knuckles, but all the other bio-linked gear I have owned ceased to be tradable once I linked them. I thought that was the whole reason of implementing bio-linking in the first place, to prevent trading items after they had been used, essentially creating no-drop items.

Since I can't seem to edit my post 
I have only had Bio-Linked armor to this point so the not tradable part might have been just the armor bug. One of the master smugglers in my guild had confirmed that slicing of already bio-linked gearis not possible in his experience, however.

If you've equipped the Knuckles then they have been bio-linked to you. You can still trade it but a smuggler won't be able to slice them.

Are you trying to slice them yourself (ie:are you a smuggler)?
Bio-linked items cannot be traded, so you can't give your knuckles to another tohavethem slicedonce you've tried them on.
Not sure if already bio-linked items can be sliced by the person they're bio-linked to as I haven't played a smuggler since pre-cu.

FYI, you'll be able to Edit your own posts soon. With rank of New Member you cant, but after 30 days you get new rank. So 4 more days to go.

I've heard some early versions of the knucklers were not tradable at all, but they are now.

I posted this in a post further up the board, but I will post it here: Up until 3 days ago I was a Master Smuggler, after pub19 I was unable to slice even my own items that were bio-linkedable, whether I had gone through the bio-link process or not, slicing menu would come up but do absolutely nothing. This is a known bug and should have a fix soon, but then again you never know...

I got a set of unlinked Katarn knucks sliced the other night. For some reason my smuggler couldn't get a fourth damage slice on it. She had the proper tools according to her (I know nothing about smuggling). So I ended up with like 10% damage 2% speed and 4% critical slices after it was all said and done.

It either was a slicing IV smuggler and not a master smuggler OR the right tool WAS missing
