Greetings. I am TK 2433 at present and still a bit confused about the funtion of Force of Will and when/how to employ it. Someone mind elaborating on this some? For example, is it used during incapatication etc.?

Many thanks,

use while incapped /forceofwill, might or might not work. If it works all your hams will go to 1 and you will stand up from incapp.

just like the description says....it canels mental energies into the physical body to get you up faster

but since they bumped up incap tickers time, force of will has been bugged bad.

From my experience with how FoW is right now on TC they have pretty much made it worthless. When you use force of will it seems to cut your max HAM points in half for a short time. Also, you may only use FoW once every 60 minutes now.

I'm trying to get an exact description of how this skill works, what the probability of success is, and what the various levels of sccess are (full success vs. success with HAM penalty, etc). It's a fourth-tier skill so it should rock. They may need to adjust the chance of full success vs. partial success.

I don't think "partial" success is possible. You either get up or you don't. FoW saved my ass twice at the Warren and if it fails the next 10 times I won't be mad. Not having that 20 minute run back to that hole was really nice. Right now it's about 50/50 for me. I don't get incapped enough to get a true concensus, but it has worked the last 3 times I have needed it.

I usually have a pet out helpingme with the more powerful mobs and if I get incapped the pets draw the aggro. I hit FoW as fast as I can and if it works, I'm able to move out of the way and start medding. I rejoin the battle, save the pet who's now hurting, and usually am able to exact revenge immediately on what incapped me minutes before.

It used to work quite well before the last big patch.

I dont think this skill will ever be that good again unless it is moved into the master TKA box. From reading here seems that the meditate line has become a good tree for lots of other professions to get to complement their other skills (ie it has too many good features in one tree line).

As TKM we need an advanced version of force of will that does work very well in the master TKA box, all TKM can benefit from this then without taking the lesser (broken) version away from the dabblers. Having mastered all the skills in TKA we certainly should have a better chance of this working than those who have just done the meditate line.

where is the friggin edit button on these cheesy boards?

Forgot to mention the very best thing about FoW.When it works, it can save your butt from the death blow. Thats why I mentioned my pet drawing the mobs attention. Without that, I'm not so sure FoW would be as effective if the mobwas only watchingme trying to slither away to recoupmy energies. It could just run over and DB me if it had nothing else to keep it occupied.
