I would have welcomed you with open arms if you wouldn't have said it was your Flavor of the Month.
I do care what the holo's are telling folks in the game because its a holocron, its a cool part of the game and its interesting to see what people are getting (more appropriate for the jedi forums I would think though).
Lets talk about "Flavor of the Month" and maybe you can see where we are coming from ok?
Flavor of the Month:
This in terms of marketing would be a device used to sell a product, e.g. - something that is popular at the time but slowly dies out and isn't worth much other than the hype you put behind it.

Looking at it from this angle, you suppose it was unfair of you (and semi-baiting) to come in and call the whole profession this? Even if you said its 'your' flavor of the month, alot of people worked hard (everyone did actually) to get to where you are, to have you come in call it meaningless and then wonder why people were insulted? You even said that you didn't really want to do it, but your interest in it is growing a little bit. Understand this, and you'll understand why people were mad.

Who would want help from a community with that attitude? I too got a holocron that told me to master Teras Kasi and it is easy as hell, so I'm not here seeking help.
As someone who mastered pikeman back in August and doctor a while later, I sought a holocron as a change of pace. It was just a good excuse to try something new in the game. Don't fault people for not sharing your elitist attitude and wanting to experience all aspects of this game.
