1) What is good damage for a normal crafted VK?

2) What is good damage for a VK made with looted componets? (Nym/NS)

3) What are good numbers for VK components?

4) Is a heavy duty vibromotor +200 cond. any good?

Thanks a ton

If you're gonna master TK, remember that speed means nothing to us. Once you hit +100 on speed every attack is capped at 1 second no matter what.

Are you saying that if a VKU's speed is 2.1 it isn't any faster th an a VKU with a speed of 1.1 if your a TKM with +100 unarmed speed?

Yeah. The speed caps very fast, so the difference between 1.1 and 2.1is nothing. I've never even seen a VK crafted so badly that you can't hit the speed cap with it even before you max out undarmed speed.

Maybe I'm confused on the term speed cap. Doesn't speed cap mean you can't go FASTER than a certain thing?

Yes. The speed cap is 1 second.

There are 2 kinds of speed caps to hit. There's a speed cap that applies with a certain weapon/attack. For example, if you have a VK with a speed rating of 2.0 and your unarmed speed bonus is +75, you will hit the speed cap of 1 second on certain attacks like UnarmedDizzy or UnarmedHit2. However, slower moves like UnarmedHit3 will be slower (in this case, UH2 is a 1.3 second attack).

The other kind of speed cap is the big one. See, there's a certain formula that the game uses when calculating attack speed. In that formula, if you have a speed modifier of 100 or greater you end up dividing by zero. If you know math, that throws things out of whack. In the case of the formula, it ends up making every single attack you make 1 second or less, which means every single attack you ever make will be at 1 second. If you had some kind of weird VK with a speed of 10 and had some wild attack with a 10x speed modifier, you'd still attack at a speed of 1 second.

This varies from server to server depending on resource spawns, on Intrepid the best normal crafted VK's are 89-147 2.2 +11 range.

Vibro motors will improve the stat effected by the amount shown on the motor. ( a finely tuned motor -0.5 will reduced the speed of the weapon from 2.2 to 1.7). The heavy duty motor you mentionwill increase the weapon's condition by 200. The high powered motors are the one most sought after, as they are about the only way to increase the damage of a VK above normal. (Yes I know about VBU that Axvah Minh drops, they are very expensive to buy and pretty much impossible for a TK to get on their own.)
