Just want to point this out...
Underworld and Master Smuggler do absolutely nothing active for youduring a fight, PvP or PvE, so you might want to drop that whole skill tree to free up skill points for Novice Medic.
Teras Kasi: |4|4|4|4|Master|
Pistoleer: |4|4|4|4|Master|
Smuggler: |Novice|0|4|4|4|
Medic: |Novice|0|0|0|0|
Or, you could also drop some other skills from Smuggler in order to enhance your basic Medic skills:
Teras Kasi: |4|4|4|4|Master|
Pistoleer: |4|4|4|4|Master|
Smuggler: |Novice|0|0|4|0|
Medic: |Novice|4|4|0|0|
As far as mastering all three professions (Teras Kasi, Pistoleer, Smuggler), that leaves you witha very small number of skill points left over, and you will have no other skills in any other professions.
Just out of curiosity, how many people actually fight in PvP or PvE without having Medic for stims?

Our guild smuggler uses exactly the same template, works out great for him, albeit with me throwing the odd heal at him now and again, and the lack of medic skills isn't as much of a concern for pvp as a lot of people think, when was the last time you were killed in pvp from a heath or action incap?

I PVE and PVP and NEVER have to use stims. I dropped medic back in October and have been happy every since. I think once my armor chestplate wore out in the Geo caves and that was the only time I could have used stims to stay alive.
Other than that, I never die from health or action.

I never have to seem to use Stim's when Im buffed anyway, and many who try the Triple Threat template seem to get used to not having Novice Medic.

I think it's a nice combo. Yes there are 3 lines in smuggler that will do you very little good in pvp, but thats not why you get them anyway. Master smuggler gives you something to do when your not bashing heads
I really liked the combo, I think it makes one of the best all around tanks in the game, against both ranged and melee foes.
This sorta combo used to be top Dawg in pvplong long ago....

It's a great build for versatile gaming. TKM for Jedi.
Smuggler/Pistoleer is useless in PvP without a fantastic Genos pistol and 90% comp. Get yerself a fantastic Geno Pistol and some Terrain Negotiation skill tapes and you'll be all set. It's a great PvE build too though if you have a Doc with you. Meditate is great too if you can run away and meditate away poison and disease in PvP. CMs and DoTs are all the rage.
Use those last remaining skill points for Ranged Support 1 so you can use /aim.
I recently gaveup that build. Smuggler just sucked. Pistoleer has been broken since the huge nerf after release. So like I said, if you don't have the ability to do Stun damage, don't even bother.

theres a great sticky on the smuggler site about this template by Caylin. Unbuffed you can't do anything, but buffed this template is a defensive tank with the ability to use a nice geo and last ditch. You won't really need medic unless you're tanking an ATST, but this template is fun, versatile and you get a trade to make some cash without having to grind missions.
Medic, or lack of, doesn't seem to be a problem with foods, tactics, zabrak equilibrium etc,so with good weapons and some pistol speed tapes it's a great pvp template with the ability to do various types of damage

Triple Threat is a very nice template, been one for a while now! and I'm really not that bad in PvP.
The only problem is you need some good pistols, and some extra pistol speed.
I got to 81 w: tapes and corsec gloves....
got a nice DX2 1.5 120 279 (for when people use uber stun armor and PSG)
Got a nice geo 1.8 161 474 (for 95% of the time lol)
I also have one geo 1.4 131-232, sufficient too, as I can almost LD at the speedcap
you can consider going only 0040 in smuggler and use the leftover SP to:
-get 0040 in medic (whatever you do, go for three 4 first), gives 40 meduse= stim D, still some points over then (maybe scout 1000?)
-get some fencer: 4300 0430, 0340
fencer will give you better defenses, depending on what you pick up it's more focusses on state defense or defense vs. KD, posture down
one more tip: get one of those BE shirts with +15 warcry and intimidate

Right here.
Im a Master TK/Smuggler/Pistoleer and I have a lot of fun with the template. I love having my TKM sign on. Then when they try to get out of range...out comes the Geo! Oh sorry...I also have maxed out pistol speed and the ability to do a ranged knockdown...and stun you from over 30m away!

I have to agree. Most with the triple master aren't Master Smuggler's to be uber in PvP. Expert BH + DF with enough pistoleer for a geo certis still the best pistol user in the game.
To the original question, it is a great template for PvE. More defensive than offensive in PvP but still tough. I'm usually solo when overt and have found that it is kind of a mixed bag but still a blast and effective.
