We TKAs seriously need a new weapon, especially since they canceled the Razor Knuckler. It doesnt neeb to Mega-Uber, just something thats not kinetic.. Or the best thing to do would be make "Vibro" a damage-type of its own, as in the Movies/Books, a Vibroblade or anything with a Vibro Unit was able to cut anything but a Lightsaber. I wanna hunt Nightsisters.

It's probably not going to happen. I added skills from Fencer and Pistoleer to my template. That works too.

How are elders and such against blast damage? Anyone can use a C12. And I make some mean C12s.

I have not used grenades in PvP or PvE; but it seems to me that if you run the risk of killing yourself by using them, what would motivate someone to employ them in battle?

You can hunt nightsisters...you only have to stay away from elders which is not a bad idea even if you are a swordsman...really there is no reason why you cant take stalkers, outcasts, spellweavers, sentinels and even protectors, all of whom drop crystals in abundance.

Buffs. I know a couple commandos that can't get enough of them. I'd have to go to the commando forum to figure out why though.

My god, people are already asking for new weapons for a profession based on UNARMED? Aren't we suposed to be UNARMED? I was surprised to see my UNARMED profession had a weapon called a Vibro Knuckler when I first started. I found it even weirder that this so-called Vibro Knuckler only usable by a profession that came from UNARMED only equips itself on 1 hand, and that kicks, headbutts and punches (Done with the hand not carrying the VK) deal as much damage to as the hand holding the VK.
Just cause we're using VK's makes usARMED. If we should get a new realistic weapon for our profession, it should be a full body type weapon. Like spiked footwear, handwear and maybe even a headwear. That when when we do specials as a TKA, it would actually make sense that we're dealing more damage with all the punches, kicks and headbutts we deal.
Also have you ever wondered why a TKA dealing damage with his barehands and clothe boots deals as much damage as someone weapon composite armor?
I mean, that's so unrealistic! If you punch someone wearing a metal glove, it should hurt the person a lot more than if you were hitting someone wearing nothing. They should add some combat damage modifiers to armor, just for TKA... maybe not make it uber powerful, but at least give us a little 5 to 10% extra damage if we're wearing armor boots, helmet and gloves. It's only logical.

from the SWG roleplaying game, COMBAT GLOVES, they sound like a good easy addition to the game, and could be like charged or something whimsical like that to do like electric damage or something.
from SW revised core rulebook from page 131
Combat Gloves
a pair of paded gloves provides extra hitting power thanks to their weight and the materials used to make them. Anyone who expects to get into a fistfight or brawl should probably wear combat gloves. they give a +2 blah blah blah.
I think these could be changed slightly to work perfectly, and some of the other items in the books such as the Gungan atlatl and Cesta (a club and staff used to hurl energy balls) could help to fix some problems with CM , Ex. equipping an Atlatl could boost your range to 35 metes, and the Cesta could increase it to the 60 or 70's range, but w/out(bare handed or with other weapon in hand) one of these the distance would drop to 20.

Ok. Then by your logic, a fencer should have daggers and stun baton taken away, since they aren't one-handed swords, and swordsmen should lose all axes and the scythe and powerhammer, and pikemen should lose weapons like staves and long vibroaxes because they aren't pikes. All based on a name.
You're being too technical. Even with a VK, the Teras Kasi artist is attacking with the same exact moves that he does while barehanded, he just happens to have something on his hand that makes it do more damage. If you REALLY want to be technical, then there's no such thing as an unarmed attack since to be "unarmed" you must have no weapons, and when you kick and punch your hands and feet become weapons.
Besides, what is more appropriate for a martial art that means "Steel Hands" than strapping a piece of metal equipment on your fist before engaging in combat?

Razor Knucklers cancelled? When did this come up? I missed it...not that there was any chance I'd obtain one anyways. =p
Anyways, I agree with whoever was saying we're unarmed, and suprised to have Vibro-Knucklers. It doesn't bother me that we only do kinetic damage. If I wanted to do another type of damage, I'd pick up another profession. And as Teras Kasi is one of the professions in this game that works (not overpowered), I'm happy for as much as we get.
Or in short, if you want different types of damage, pick up another profession.
