How come I cant do any damage without doing a special? before CU, we would do some dmg without using specials, but now if i dont do specials i just stand there and get my rear end kicked, especially when im low on action. Is this intended or a bug??

Auto attack dosen't exist. You have to click manually to do a generic attack.

I personally don't like the auto attack, now that they 'fixed' our action. If I leave it on auto it uses action way to fast and I end up running out when my enemy is half dead. I perfer to time my hits myself, a good knockdown right before cob run's out works wonders.

one way i use my auto attack and attack when low on action:
set my auto-attack as my regeneration, since i always forget to click it...
when low on action, i use my mouse and double click the npc... no, or barely noticeable action cost... comes up as melee hit... about 250-450 damage depending on what i'm hitting till my action comes back...

wrong, hold control and click on the special icon you want to be your auto attack. melee hit is the most basic one and I use it as my auto attack.

hold control and left click the attack you want to be your auto-attack.
it will fire this attack when you are agro'd/not manually pressing any other attacks.
you can identify your 'default' attack by the orange checkmark on the toolbar.
edit: adefo beat me by a few seconds.

i think you have to set it every time you log in. but it doesn't clear until you 'log out'. not that big a deal, really.
