Thread: A couple questions for my TKA brothas from otha mothas.

1) Are any of you fencers? I'm MBrawler/TKM/MFencer/0440 Pike, and it's working well for me. My only problem so far is that the pikeman branches I've taken, while awesome for mods (sweet general accuracy and defense mods), don't have great specials. The spin attack is cool, but really limited because if it's slow cooldown timer.


2) Continuing in that vein, do you think I'd be better off dropping my pikeman branches for some Swordsman? How much better is Headhit and/or Power Attack than Body Hit (from fencer)? Would it be worth losing my pikeman mods for better specials?


3) What the crap does Dizzy do?


4) Do any of you make regular use of the specials from the Master Brawler box?

1) I was fencer, now I'm TKM+ MPIKE+ Mbrawler+ some medic


2) intimidate is one special you want to keep


3) I think it reduces accuracy


4) Melee strike is strong, but takes alot of action points, you want the modifier (unarmed dam +15, melee def) in the master box

but how often do you really fight unarmed if you're a master fencer or master swordsman? is that +15 unarmed damage really helpful?


you do better dmg with fencer/swordsman weapons than unarmed even with Mbrawler...


i'm just about to finish my template of TKM/mSword/mFencer - couple more boxes of fencer left.


i was TKM/mSword/mBrawler/pike 0143 (i think) - and it worked very well, but i wanted to try cripple/blind/bind from fencer, so here i am.


honestly, i don't htink master brawler is worth it ..melee assault isn't as useful as Headhit from swordsman, parry riposte seems to be broken (doesn't seem to alter defenses), and unarmed dmg..well. not helpful to me.


i find the most useful specials to me are blind, armor break, lunges/sweeps, headhit, critical, and melee hit/strike. i don't use powerhit too often (slow and high action cost). improved impale is supposed to be very good - never got to try it though.


i didn't fully test the effects of intimidate and warcry - not sure if they're worth it or not


intimidation will reduce incoming dmg, not sure by how much though.

I use Warcry in PvP when I'm rooted...


Improved Intim + improved Stun blow+ CoB=no real damage taken, I also got medic 0-3-4-0 (bacta shot and bacta ''throw'', I alternate (timers) when I really need some healing)


Parry Riposte (it works, you gotta time it right, if you think the other guys is going for the big hit, you absord alot of dam and your opponent actually receive dam in return)


Improved impale is great, and Adv. Combo is strong with the Pike I use (decent 492 DPS)


Is it me or Adv. Combo also hits the action bar?
