Thread: TKM against jedi
well, here is the deal with me...i am TKM, master sword, pike 0440 and master brawler, with a few points WASTED (dont get me started) on FS stuff. im preatty close to the best (non jedi) melee u can be. my melee def WITHOUT any enhancments is 300 (its 800 melee def with CoB),AND since any def above about 225 desnt matter anyway, im about the hardest to hit u can be.
using only my skill (and CoB) i have the advantage against any padawan, and MOST initiates. once they get to jedi knight, i need a good PSG and some skill on my choices in the fight, but im still a tough match most of the time. i can hold my own against master lightsaber, but what gives the jedi the advantage is the offensive force powers (mostly choke, and the one that slows me down). i wouldnt say that i "own" jedi like some profs do, but i can hold my own against most.
**this is asuming im fighting unarmed (no VK even). with a high dam sword, i can deal more damage and hit almost twice as fast as unarmed, but somtimes i get killed faster this way. i think it depends on the jedi's template, and skill in combat.
ok, lol, to sum up....i am a tough fight for any padawan, and about an even match for an initiate, but my take-down power dwindles quickly at knight and above. im prob not the best template for hunting jedi, but im much better than most.
my advice, try dropping rifles for carbines (assuming u already have ROOT ability with pistols) as it will give u better mid ranged "jedi-running-up-to-u" accuracy, without losing TOO much damage.
**food for thought...in TC just before the CU, i tried mixing commando with BH and it worked pretty well, but i ditched it before i worked out th ebugs. commando gives u high damage and DOT, but has no special skills ![]()

Its still possible to win.
I will win 75% of fights against Jedi Knights.
Food , food and more Food.
I usually wear a Jedi KNight down until he has no Force pool left .
Always run COB and use Stim Ds, Burn out suace,food, Melee defense food (food I can't stress enough) and more food.
Once i see the Battle leaning towards me, i switch to "Master Lightsaber" and take some synsteak and pound on their weaken body.

That is the issue with melee. if you want to stand against a jedi you need doctor, hands down!!
However, that eats up lots of points so you cant get all the neat specials. Its kinda neat how the specials are spread over all the melee professions so you cant make an uber melee stacker.
I personally think doc 4000 is needed to fight jedi period. without that you will fail (Im not talking about lvl 54 jedi initiates but full knights)

If you cant even hang with a knight your far from the best melee. I whoop any jedi besides (full temp) knights. I can fight any knight for a good 3-5 min before one of us loses (either my mind or his force is out). I have to be buffed out the ass to kill a knight though, without them my mind will run out alot sooner than his force. I think your exagerating a little on how long you last, or you fight some really bad jedi. With your build you have no healing besides stims and i seriously doubt you even get 2 off when fighting a full temp knight, youd be dead by the time your first one cooled down. All i fight is jedi, mostly knights, hardly any regs go overt on my server.

Doc 4000
Bacta Infusion, Stim D's, Moun Gold/Pixie double shot, Health/Action/Mind food-drink mix, Power Boost, Defence clothing, and COB.
Your damage output is kinda on the mid-grade side but as a total meat shield, you are king! Try an find yourself a good VL that does over 1k damage and add on speed PU's.
This combo template gives you the ability to armor break, stun, intimidate, and warcry your opponent. Plus you have the finest area knockdown.
Get a great PSG...and its party time.
I also use a +25 healing eff piece of clothing which seems to help very nice with doc 4000. Drink Ruby to heal every 30 seconds and keep spamming Bacta Infusion, unless your completely overwhelmed but silly odds, you will never drop!
