hey all!

i've recently come back to SWG after a fairly long break (last played pre-CU).. my old teras kasi char got wiped and he was almost TKM, I WAS getting doc buffs and soloing stuff on dantooine (i think) before, and getting lovely EXP. i understand that no longer works... so my question is, what is the best way to lvl up? i do prefer to solo if i can, but will group if its absolutely nessasary. just wondering if anyone can tell me where is good (i'm only teras kasi student at the moemnt), and what is good to hunt! and should i do missions or just grind stuff?

thanks in advance!

Kill stuff, killl lots of stuff. Just jokeing, Missions are the way to go, now you have a combat lvl. (cl) along side our ham bar. Take missions 2 lvl's below yours untill you get used to the new system. Learn to use your specials wisely, they cost lots of action. Don not use armor of anykind. Use 'center of being' at all time's as soon as you get it, and lvl it up as quickly as you can. You can solo, but you can only take one (1) critter at a time, two (2) will kill you. It is much faster to fight in a group. When you get comfortable with tk, you can take missions 2 and even 3 lvl's higher than your cl., but still only one at a time solo. You must master 2 elete professions to become cl 80, which is the highest for players at this time.

Its very simple..Go to Dant. and find a level 80 group hunting Bols or Pickets at level 80 to 82..If you have a tka in the group who can train you, you should level rather quickly (days) with steady grinding..the cool thing is your Level will be around 60 and you will gain xp VERY rapidly in your second elite proffession..Some good new..exept for docs..you dont need to spend 10k for a buffset anymore befor you go hunting..Bad news..Soloing, while it might be possible is'nt worth the hassle. TKAis also not theuber powerhouse it once was, but its not bad..Youdont need to spend money on armor..you can now wear regualar clothes. Have fun and WELCOME BACK!

To echo the threadstarter a bitI am a TKM. I was 10 months ago when I stopped playing. Now i'm back for a 2nd go round and I just did the /respec for the 1st time. I kept tkm, took swordsman and i need just a few more boxes tobe a master at that. My guy is also force sensitive. I had a slamming set of composite armor THAT I CANT WEAR NOW! Lol what career would I need to wear armor? Is center of being like mental armor now? I was doing jedi grinding fighting squills and rancors and now i'm scared to fight anything! I was alwasy a solo kinda guy. I liked being a loner on SWG. How will i grind for jedi? I was about to head to the village but i'm scared I will die along the way. Can someone please be kind and tell me what career wears armor? How will I protect myself when I go to the jedi village?!? I'm so lost.

Nobody... I THINK that the TK innate armour is pretty good, as good as a good suit of armour, meaning we dont have to worry about buying any armour.

I am a vet returning also. I laid off for 5 months but was lucky enough to find my toon and house and all still intact. I havent repspec'd yet because I wanted to see what the new changes were like before I made my decision. I created a new toon on Scylla to test out the new skills. I love the new cosmetic changes but am quite worried with the new skill sets. I love being a Ranger but dont know if that will a viable option anymore as I am FS and cant exactly give that up. So before I go back to Shadowfire, I am going to test my luck with the skillls and see what fits realistically. Anyone on Scylla want to take me under their wing a while I would much appreciate it.

Welcome back you guys afteryour long vacation. I have to say I missed the game.

This game is like a pencil in a pencil sharpner...the tip represents how good the devs think the game is the rest of the pencil represents the players...every time the devs "think" they make it better, there for "sharpining" the pencil, the pencil gets shorter.

I dont believe the dark side derived from the jedi like many believe, i believe that jedi were born from the dark side. Now see there had to be one force weilder who learned how to harness the force so he trained others, now think if u were the only person in the galaxie that had the power to destroy a whole fricken army by your self would u be good? I would try and take over the galaxie ya no and i believe many of you would too.

Think about it...

Best things to hunt are Bols in a Level 80 hunting group on Dant. Reason being is that they don't herd (thereby you can kill one at a time). The downside is that creature levels are bugged on Dant. When you see level 80+s in the horizon, they can turn into low level 47s and thus you can't get any XP.
