I am truley and sincerely baffled...

I am hearing from most people that knockdown costs them (as it does me) 200+ HAM points.

then i read from Selwynns post that it only costs 40...uhhhhh, am i missing something here?

Hey Selwynn, honestly, how is it that im a higher level TKA than you, (Teras Kasi Expert, precision striking 1 & 2, medidate 1, and balance 3) but my knockdown1 cost me 200? whats your secret cuz!??

I am finding it hard to hunt becuase my specials DO cost me a lot more than they did...anyone know WHY this change was made? I would rather do less damage and keep the specials they way they were

Same here Expert TKA Power4 balance2 precison2 and med 1 and im getting raped by my own specials,... not the mobs without VKs

everything pretty much is using my ham.. KD just the worst... 200+ from each bar

I don't know what to tell you, and I'm not here to piss anyone off or anything. I know everyone's upset and stuff and don't like hearing stuff like this from people like me.


Look, I'm not here about the numbers, maybe my numbers are wrong, maybe somone else's are. All I know is KD only takes a fractional ammount away from my HAM bars when I use it, at a rate I can TOTALLY live with, I basically regenerate it all back before it wears off the mob -- so I'm here to tell you this FACT: my feeling about playing my character is that I am JUST as successful as I ever was before the patch, knockdown needed to be changed, the HAM costs on VKs are a bug, it will get fixed, and I do perfectly fine, so I don't know what to tell you. If it turns out that I'm not reading something right and I am seeing the exact same HAM cost as everyone else, then all I can say is I feel the level of outraged expressed hear is a little ridiculous.

Been having fun all night tongiht, with the exception I keep tabbing out to post here, something I'm going to stop doing now... I'm sorry so many of you are pissed of and acting like its the end of the world for something as minor as this. And I hope that you're complaining produces changes in our favor because I hey, I like whatever I can get. But this class is as playable as it ever was, just as fun as it was last night, and I've made ZERO changes in what I hunt, or where I go. Sorry if that hasn't been the same for the rest of you, but I'm done with this tonight going to go keep enjoying the game.

TKA Master here! Wait till you get to master before saying anything too drastic. A white con for you novice and mid-level TKA's is a lot less of a fight than a white con for a TKA Master! Sad that I can't beat more than 2 tusken raiders (normal ones) without dying. TKA masters are the elite of unarmed in the whole GALAXY! We can't even defend ourselves against more than 1 white con (Stormtroopers) or 2 dark blue cons (Tusken raiders) and live to tell about it.

Heck, why would we want to live, it's embarassing as #ell to not be able to do something justa decent fighter should be able to do.

The HAM cost for me on KD2 is way too much!! I am getting raped for well over 300 pts per use and I never use vibroknucklers!

For all of you who aren't TKA masters yet, wait till you get there, you will see what I mean. A huge difference from now till then! Have fun!!

Opiium started a thread just to collect stats on the REAL cost of using knockdown NOW, post-patch. Here's the link, and a sample of my submission:

str 625; qui 300; foc 500 (playing doctor atm so not ideal tk stats)

kd2 without knucklers: 206 ham (49 health; 101 action; 56 mind)

kd2 with knucklers: 665 ham (244 health; 271 action; 150 mind)

OK folks, let's have some numbers. Remember, the big number that floats over your head is the total, but if you do the move on a green while you're at full stats and quickly jot down your new totals, you can see how that total number is broken down. I took it slowly, I did the style one time and recorded the stat drop on one stat, healed up and repeated the process until I was sure I had gotten it exactly. If you're quick you can grab 2-3 stats at once but they regen fast, be sure to compare what you think the drop was to the floating total!

I am positive that either selwynn's server has not yet been nerfed OR she is not reporting the total ham drop, just the action portion. With 500 quickness I am almost certain she is reporting only her action portion of the style cost. 101 for me with 300, who knows for you with 350, and 80 for her with 500 qui. sounds about right for the action portion *only*.
