Oops, I'm all wrong here. See my post in another message below on this page.

Some history, I've noticed that whatever stat poolI used the most with every profession grew as I mastered whatever profession.

For example as I mastered my doctor and some pistols which I changed to unarmed because I did not have enough points to master doctor and master any other fighting profession.

While mastering medic through doctor, I noticed my mind pool increasing, then I ran out of points and had to drop surveying and pistols and took up TKA.

I also bought the game a second time and started a brawler/medic type and noticed something interesting with both characters. Whatever stat pools were used the most seemed to grow in size.

This led me to believe that stats were like muscles, that if you used them they would grow, not so with TKA, it's the opposite. I find that the TKA special moves use enormous amounts of mind points, and that meditation was a mental exercise yet my mind, focus and willpower did the *opposite* they shrank faster than a water balloon shot through with an armor piercing bullet!!!

This seems to me to be a huge problem second only to the fact that we can only do kenetic damage.

To me this seems a bit unjust.

I'm really not understanding what you mean by stat pools increasing and decreasing....I mean your stats don't change based on your profession, but maybe your referring to the HAM costs associated with the special from various professions.....

Um maybe you have someone messing with your stat migration and do not realize it. Maybe someone else is playing your character.

I think he is saying your HAM costs go down normally the higher level you become.

But with TKA your HAM costs go up.

Either that or he is hitting the crack pipe.

No, it wasn't drugs, just playing too many games that adjust your stats as you go along and a couple co-incidences.

1. Somehow the stat bar sizes changed, but not the numbers. I note this glitch when my buffs wear off sometimes, the size changes until I board a shuttle or relog. Just a coincidental glitch that made me think that I was losing mind pool. I should have actually checked the numbers.

2. It just so happened that my mainly TKA alt had full health and very little mind. Combine this with the glitch above, and the fact that someone mentioned that the ham cost of moves increase as you learn new ones and it made me think I was losing mind pool.

I was wrong, and a fool.

I did figure out something half way decent. I wanted stats set soI could wear all my composite unbuffed and unaided by food or drink, not the greatest composite mind you but adequate.

After changing my stats, which weren't far off from the reccomended stats I've seen reported, I notice that I did much better in battle.

I also avoid the unfortunate result where I had unequipped my armor on my doctore to rebuff myself and hitthe macro to put on my buffing clothes and ended up being so overloaded I could not move. Fortunately, I was safe, in my house and not among aggro.Trouble with me being unable to move outside I could not call my droid that helps me buff and I would have had to buff myself and then go outside, call the droid and rebuff and my packs are running low because I'm out of good resources. Good dant berries, herb and avian meat have all but vanished from intrepid so I gotta save my buffs I got. Had I been in battle, I'd have been fubar had I hit the wrong button.

How to calculate the numbers ....

Get your character buffed and wearing your composite. Then play and when all the buffs drop look at your character sheet and notice the numbers in the modifars column. The numbers there represent the amount of shortfall that stat is suffering despite what the numbers in the other columns say. They never show negative in the modifiars but I think they should.

Example: Your Focus and willpoweris 400 but the total encumberances to the mind is 525, you will see 125 in the modifiars column for both these stats. In order to wear the armor unbuffed by anything, you must add the amount in the modifars colum +1 to each of these two stats if you wish to wear the armor. So your focus and willpower must be 526 to be able to wear the armor.

You must also adjust all the other stats that have a non-zero number in the modifiars column by that number + 1 if you wish to equip that armor unbuffed.

After I got done figuring out what I needed, and leaving a few points of play I basically had 700 to health, 700 to action and 800 to miind, an improvement to my mind which was400 but now its 800 unbuffed almost as if I had drunk a pair of 404 brandy.

Oh I forgot to mention, I did not do this to my doctor, for he needs good mind to buff and heal and such, and can recast his buffs on himself ina pinch. So, be careful what kind of char you do this to. My results in fights were much better, having more mind, I was able to fight twice as long, deal out twice the damage and cut the time I had to sit and meditate my mind back up to half.

There is no glitch, you just didn't notice the difference between buffs, brandy, and all that fun stuff. Stats don't change themselves. No, they dont. They dont. You might have also had wounds. They dont change.

Apparrently you did not read my post carefully enough. I said that I found that the stats did not change after all. I found that the stats do NOT change after all, not themselves, no they don't, They just dont! How many times do I have to say this before you'll notice that I'm no longer claiming my stats changed?? The only place where I mentioned that my stats changed in my second post which you obviously read because you referred to the glitch, was because I visited an image designer. I didn't think I had to mention this but I guess I'll do this twice too just to make sure. Stats don't change, not at all not ever, unless YOU change them and than visit an image designer.

As for there being no glitch, oh yes there IS!!!! I repeat ther *is* a glitch!!! I was on Tattione and my buffs dropped but the bar length remained the same. I could tell they dropped because I had nothing in my modifiars window.

Then I used the shuttle and when I appears in theed, my ham bars were back to their normal rather small size.

I can certainly tell the difference between a ham bar that is 2 inches long and one that's 3/4ths of an inch.

If you still don't understand, re-read as necessary.

No disrespect intended btw. I miss a LOT of stuff, but I am not imagining this glitch. Perhaps this glitch only is seen by me because of my particular graphics card and not seen by yours because you don't have the glitch.

Could have been that a brandy wore off when you took a shuttle, or your buffs were lost when you took the shuttle, a bug that is happening.

No sir, again you are making every possible assumption that one could possibly make instead of just taking me at my word. This happens far too much. Too many people seem to be like a horse that you can lead to water but you can't make them drink, not even if you violently wrestle them down and hold their head under water till they drown, they always come back up dead asa doornail but not a drop of water did they drink!

**********************************************************************************************************************************

The buffs and the brandywore off BEFORE I took the shuttle. Notice I said I had *nothing* in the modifiars window at all! = NO canape, No spice,

No food, no vitamins, no herbs, no drink, no MSGno nothing, nothing at all was in the modifiars window, I had no buffs, enhancements,

clothing attachmenents, skill tapes, magnifying glass, no change in game resolution no zooming, no nothing none, none none, before,

prior, aforetime, during, previous to taking the shuttle. Nor was I using any programs for the blind to enlarge portions of my screen nor did I

suddenly remove my glasses, or use a magnifying glass nor did I shove my face into the monitor just to make the bars LOOK big and then look

at the screen with a telescope held backwards, nor did I partake of LSD, Mesceline, or any other psychedelics nor bash my face against the

monitor nor have a stroke or siezure nor wasI imagining things. I've seen this happen time and time again over and over, I even pinched myself

to make sure I was awake, If you live in northern california maybe you can come over and witness it with your own eyes and then, maybe then tho I

I think it's a slim chance you'll believe me. I hope this was emphatic enough. It looks too much like a scolding to me tho. Sigh!

**********************************************************************************************************************************

Again, no disrespect, but I feel like I'm having to build a verbal chute to drive a stubborn donkey into a horse trailor using a stun gun as a cowprod. If you don't get it this time, I give up. I've wasted enough bandwidth trying to get this accross already and its frustratiing! Too many times this seems to happen, I post a simple observation or in this case I post simple retraction, and no matter how many times I repeat it, someone always fails to get the point, and I end up taking the frustration out on you this time. Sorry

PS: I've decided you are joking, and just pretending you don't understand and I fell for it. I forget, nobody but me can be this dense, so you must be playing

mind games on me. I think you have too much time on your hands, as do I it seems. Please try not to clutter up the forums here with such games

and I'll try to do the same by learning to not fall for such games with such complete gullibility.

Actually I think that Alaro is right that sometimes the size or relative size of the pool bars change for no apparent reason, though the actual pools themselves don't change.

That was the dumbest thing you could have possibly said. I have around 3 hours of free time a day, most of which I do work. I was not playing this dumb "mind trick" on you, I just had no clue what the heck you were talking about. it wasnt a game, maybe you should learn to be more gullible, things may be true, cause i wasnt faking any of this son
