Hey,

I've noticed something recently. My area attacks as a TKM seem to not work. They only hurt the selected target, and never touch the other creatures that are surrounding me.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've tried it on sevearl different things, Pikets, Huurtons, NPCs, ect, and get the same results.

As far as I can tell our AOE attacks only effect MOBs that are aggroing us.

Lets say you are fighting 4 Mokks. You target Mokk #1 and aggro him. Mokks #2,3,4 aggro you you. As you spin attack them to death, Mokk #4 gets low on action, peaces out and starts running away. As soon as he peaces, you stop damaging him.

If a friend shot Mokk #2, that Mokk would disengage you and run over to your buddy and your AOE would not effect him.

I would think this is working as intended. It sort of makes sense. It's been working like that as far back as I can remember.

This was happening with creatures that were aggroing me. i'd sit there for 30 seconds doing area attacks on 4 or 5 assorted types of pikets, or 4 or 5 quenkers. as soon as the targeted one died, i checked, and all the other ones attacking me were unhurt.

Wow, that's wacky. I take it the combat log doesn't report any damage to the surrounding MOB's?

I used Spin2 a bunch of times earier this week on Stormies and everything seemed OK. I guess I'd just /bug it and pray for a response.

have you ever gotten a response from a /bug?

i've /bug'ed about a dozen different things in the course of my 8 months playing, and have NEVER gotten any sort of response ever.

i didn't check the combat log, but i know that their HAMS were still completely full.

Heh, I've had one occurance that a /bug was looked at back when player shuttles randomly stopped working. I stopped /bugging things after numerous occasions of hitting lairs for 11000 damage with default attacks and have come to accept strange SWG behavior.

I've had one occurance at the Nightsister cave where damage stopped showing to everything (including myself) graphically but the combat log reported correctly. Everything started reporting after relogging.

Hi!

This kinda stuff always happens when you hit LARGE things, like pikets, rancors and flying mobs/creatures. They tend to be out off range for your attacks. I am not 100% certain but i recall ther are PUPs increasing the point blank range, try it out. Quenkers tho should'nt be any problem and if you cant spinattack them they aint aggroing you as stated above or it´s a bug.

And the high damage you deliver to lairs at times is from the large amounts of corpses laying by the lair... it somehow multiplies your damage to the lair. It's a well known bug, I think... hehe

i've been grinding tka this past week and the only problem i've had is with fambaas, spin attacks work fine on bolles, mokks, jantas, and various other naboo and dant mobs. i assumed it wasn't working on fambaas because they were too big to gang up on me within 3m(?) or so. as an aside, about half the time i target the lair, the other half an individual creature agroing me. hope this helps..

Nice. Do you think 6 corpses qualifies as a large amount? I've seen it from as little as 6 to as many as 15. Thanks for the info.
