Meditation should be the last skill column you work on. Focus on everything else. Basically get knockdown and then proceed in getting Power techniques down (or the third column...I forgot the name). Combat xp is used for the last column.

On PvP, the only chance to hit a ranged weapon user is to catch them, so if your challenged to a duel dont start unless your close and hit burst run first, then try to catch up to him( and due to lag time he isnt where you see him) you have to kinda guess, what direction is he running and try to cut him off,so I try to burst run a circle around where I think he should beand spam KD until one lands, then cancel the rest quick and go for a powerful hit.

If you a overt of some type.....well surprise is the only way to gain the advantage and hope they are slow distracted or AFK.

Always carry spice!

If someone starts shooting at you NEVER RUN TOWARDS THEM! (just like in real life) run behind a rock or down a dry river bed. If your in the city run to the first open building (starport, cantina etc...) Once you start to run away take your spice and wait for the pistoleer (seems they are all pistol pansies nowadays) by the time she reaches you with a good spice high your HAM's should be 2k each, and your in close quarters. try for a knockdown or a lunge as this will change the posture of the target. Once you land a posture change hit them with dizzy then UA2 till they die.

When you incap them dont deathblow them until you heal up and/or spam them with nasty comments

hope this helps, lets stop whining about ranged and start fighting like TKA with tactics!!

I've only got Balance I and Power I (but am darn close to Accuracy I). Is Meditation I worth it?

What are some tactics to use in pvp, especially vs ranged opponents? I'm sick of getting fanshot in the face while I chase down my quarry. Yes, I'm new to pvp - I'd like to learn to do it better, and I figure TKA is as good as any other.
