Hi Folks,

I am Darque and I started playing the game the week the Wanderhome server opened. Consequently I have focused my play efforts on Wanderhome.

I always thought I wanted to be a TK master, but crafting, etc took me away from that. Then I started grinding to open the FSCS, and 15 or so professions later I decided to take a whack at TKA.

I like it so much I have stopped trying to open the slot (most of the "Jedi" seem to hate it anyway), and have started having fun again! I don't mind telling you the grind I have done so far put me in the frame of mind to quit the game more than once - I was having no fun so why play? But the discovery of what a hoot it is to be a TK master has brought the fun back to me.

Currently I am TK master, Doctor 2340, Smuggler 0010 (with all the pre reqs for those classes of course). I plan to modify Doctor a bit and make it 1440 to see if the buffs are better (has anyone tried this who can give me input - will be checking the doctor's forum momentarily). I love this combination - was a TKM and Pistoleer Master, but can't tell a real difference since I dropped all of Pistoleer. I play a zabrak which might explain the KD/Dizzy thing. It just isn't that bad generally speaking.

Anyway, I wanted to say hi and let you all know I am a new convert to the 'way' and look forward to being a TKA ad infinitum. I will try to be very active in the forums and assist where I can. I hear there are some dedicated TKA groups on the Wanderhome server, so if you are in one or know about one, please let me know here and/or in game. My name there is Darque.

Best regards,

Darque

Hey there,

Doc buffs are worth it for sure, being able to buff yourself at will is really great.

My template:

Master TK, Master Brawler, Master Medic, Doc 0-3-4-0

I bought some Injury/Wound healing modified clothing and I buy Buff Pack D's.I usually hit for 1500 - 1800 pts per buff, which I find more then enough. Add power boost to that and my primary stats go over +2000 base.

Then pop some fishak, glucose pate for the mind, with powerboost my mind can get over 2000 as well.

Makes for a very hard take down when I am fully buffed out, and the best part is no dependencies on others for buffs.

(Except Entertainer Buffs, but they are not always easy to find anway)

Dont forget Muon for those sticky situations you get in.

Wound Treatment line affects buffs, so the 4 in stead of 3 in that line will help. Also like someone else said, get Wound Treatment clothes and that will help as well. Don't get mods past a total of +25 though, because that's the max., no matter what your skills actually read in your skills sheet.

haha Frogg my man, it will bea long time before I am grinding again. Every Jedi I talk with is lamenting the class as a 'Fencer with the Force', and not having fun with it.

Thanks for the advice folks. In fact I made the move to 1440 in Doc and can now rez, and report that buffs are significantly better. As much as 1000 points better on average...oh, I did pick up BE clothing too, and sadly BE's are a rare commodity so I can't seem to top +15, but even so, that seems to have helped the buffing scenario a lot.

I have 2 extra skill points left.
