I am trying to hit novice and the xp is not pouring in. The only thing that gives me xp are lairs and I don't attack them till I cleaned out what used to live there. Is there a faster way to get xp when you are not powerful. Can't kill things that give good xp because I can't do enough damage. What else can I do then grind away at empty lairs?

This tactic is the epitome of cheese (nearly as bad as macros) but if u are struggling then it may be worth a try.

Find a Commando with a flamer or a 2H swordsman with good bleeds and head out to Dantooine. Whilst their get the Swordsman/Commando to hit something like a Quenker with a bleed shot but make sure he/she doesn't do any proper damage. Now all you have to do is hit the MoB a few times with your fists. When the creature eventuallybleeds to death all the XP is designated to you as unarmed XP, from a Quenker for example this is worth around 3000 XP a time.

If this doesn't appleal then get yourself some vibroknucklers, although you are uncertified the increase in speed more then compensates for the decrease in damage.
