TKA has been in the game since live so why all of a sudden are we now overpowered? People usually complain about the same things.

Meditation, speed, targeting any HAM pool, high accuracy and high damage. Umm the game has been out for 7 months now and with the exception of the damage increase TKA's could ALWAYS do these things. Why wasn't this a problem in the days of the eyeshot era or why wasn't this a problem duing the days of the commando flame DOT problem.

Umm where were you informed valuable members of the community and self appointed keepers of balance and equality back when the game first came out? If you are so "informed" then why is TKA such a huge problem now?

Here's why:

Because it wasn't a "problem" until FOTM hologrinding l337 PvP d00dz discovered it.

Now all of a sudden (even though TKA's have been this way since BETA) it's a huge crisis and needs a nerf badly for the sake of balance because the people who are complaining are sooo informed and know what they are talking about.

Now do you see why the devs ignore these forums?

Yes...

DEATH TO HOLOGRINDERS!

j/k some of my friends are hologrinding.

I've been working on the same template, give or take, since launch. I think we're in for the long haul on nerf cryer's since holocrons are here to stay.

On my server the composite armor is at 80% kinetic. It's very hard to actually kill people in PvP anymore ;(

I heard in another post about TKA somewhere that TKA is not overpowered, it's just the only proffesion thats working the way it was intended too. People got to relize that to even stand a chance we have to be within atleaset 10m so if you start from 30m away that gives you plenty of time to spam eyeshot or mind poison or flame 2 or what ever you'dlike to spam at us. It's like the little fish places where you pay a dollar for every fish you catch, it's not hard you just have to us that thing called the mind (and come with some cash).

Seriously before you follow the long ongoing train of cryers and nerfers try actually running and shoting then you will see what i mean.

Think about it I mean REALLY think about it. How many combat professions have had SPECIFIC nerfs targeted solely at their professions?

Only one. Riflemen had the T21 nerfed. That's it. That's literally it. Out of all the complaining that goes on every single day, out of all the nerf callers and all the whining the ONLY combat oriented profession in this game that has had a nerf specifically targeted to them is one whopping profession. Oh and it wasn't done because people were pulling off massive head shots in PvP. It was done because they were pulling off massive head shots in PvE

The FWG5 and scatter were not nerfed they were fixed. Every single FWG5 and scatter made with a advanced power blaster handler was not intended because the schematic was bugged. It was just a good bug. Knockdowns were nerfed and it was game wide. It didn't target a specific profession.

These nerf whines are pointless. If people would just stop and THINK about all the changes done to the game they will realize that virtually none of these "nerfs" have targted specific professions and have been game wide. CH's were nerfed but they are not a sole combat profession. Besides they were not nerfed their pets were. In addition CH's were rebalanced. The "nerf" means you can't control graul maulers with just a few boxes. You now have to actually DO something in CH to get the benefits. It's ideal. The overall profession wasn't affected and the unbalanced power of dabblers was limited.

Think about all the professions that have been complained about and think about what's been done. Nothing

BH's still have eyeshot at BH pistol II, Commandos still have the flame DOT, smugglers still have lowblow, panic shot and last ditch, pistoleers still have headshot riflemen still can spam strafe shot 2 every second with a T21. Get the picture?

Get a clue people. Your nerf posts and nerf whines. . .they ain't workin

TK has always been percieved as being overpowered. At the beginning of live, almost everyone went marksman/pistoleer. After a few PvP with TKs, the great nerf cry went up and the devs listened.

TK has also been hit with the nerf bat more than once. Our damage was cut by almost 50% at one time until they found out we couldn't punch our way out of a wet paper bag without killing ourselves. So they boosted damage a bit, then took VK away from the unarmed brawler tree. What other profession has to qualify for novice without any weapons? You don't think that the 80%+ kinetic resists are aimed directly at TKs?

Yes, they fixed some things along the way, so we may be one of the more fixed professions now and I wish all the others would get fixed too. But there will always be the nerf TK call. Until you learn, if you learn, your profession and how to use it, we will always seem too powerful. At some point you will have to fight in close, due to lag, bad strategy, swarmed, or whatever, and you will die because you don't have melee defense. and the TK won't die, so you will start the nerf cry all over again. So far the last 8 months have been one hell of a roller coaster ride as a TK.

I don't think there are any other unarmed professions in the game.

True, but then I hit for less than half the damage as a 2-handed swordsman but still have to get the same amount of xp per box? I am not complaining, because the defination is unarmed.I was just replying to the statement that riflemen were the only profession specifically targeted with a nerf.

Really. . . name when. As far as I know the TKA damage mods were only changed once and they were boosted. Also remember they were boosted at the request of the TKA community because the TKA community wanted to make their bare fists viable weapons. So the devs responded to the TKA's request for additional power and not the nerf callers request for decreased power.

So they boosted damage a bit, then took VK away from the unarmed brawler tree. What other profession has to qualify for novice without any weapons?

That's not a "nerf" that's a change. The VK wasn't weakened its cert was moved. If they moved the VK to novice TKA and decreased it's max damage then that would be a nerf. Also like antares said it is called unarmed combat after all. Nerfs are when the T21 rifle has it's damage output reduced. Ours was increased.

You don't think that the 80%+ kinetic resists are aimed directly at TKs?

Ok now you've gone off the deep end. Again PvP is played by the extreme minority so stop thinking only in terms of that. Do you truly expect me to believe that the devs introduced advanced armor with high kinetic resists to SOLELY counteract TKA's in PvP.Get real man. Let me explain it this way. Creature mobs do kinetic damage. Maybe just maybe (and I know this is extreme) it was introduced for that and for PvE. Yeah I know, I know that's just crazy talk.

Keep in mind I'm a Teras Kasi Master before you start flaming me for that last remark.

Of all people it was a bounty hunter in the BH forums that revealedthis factto me. Yes you are right it DOES make perfect sense if you truly think about what has TRULY been nerfed and changed in the game.

64bit I just re-read my last post and it came off as unjustly harsh. I apologize for my crude remarks.
