OK Im playing with numbers my current set of kk are worn out and my template needs a reshuffle, and I have some cash to spend on some ca'sIm trying to understand what Melee speed and unarmed speed do to my dps on knuckles.

My template at the moment is TKM, MBH, novice medic giving me about 8sp to spend I am FS, so I was considering going for the melee speed and melee accuracy branches.

Does general melee speed stack on unarmed speed? do they both have the same effect? I am looking at an increase in speed from 25 -37,

I am thinking of buying CA's to up Melee speed and unarmed speed on top as well. Will these have a big impact on my dps with my knuckles, basically what I want to be able to do is both slice and pup for power and still get a modifiedspeed of as close to 1.0 as possible. What Skill mods total would be needed for this?

Yes, general melee speed stacks with unarmed speed.

Never really played much with the ca's but I know that for me at least it is better to use a sac pup then a power or speed pup due to sustained dps.

If I use a power pup I am attacking too slow for my likes. I use a speed pup and my action is gone in about 5 seconds. So, SAC pups are the way I go.

Right heres what Ive found through experimentation, every 10 pts of unarmed speed takes away 0.3 from the speed of the KK's if melee speed has the same effect you can look at taking a grand total of 0.15 of your kk speed by going FS melee speed as well I can bring that to about 0.18 off taking me to 1.09 speed using a combination of damage pup and slice I should be able to get up to close to the 1000 dps 1000 max damage region hitting at a speed of 1.20. I wish I was a trandoshan though .

If you can pull that off, send me a screen shot of the KK's stats. I would love to see this tested and proven.

working hard on it, costing lots of credits for the ca's

also this item decay rate on unmodded items is a killer at the moment Im gonna need a set of knucklers every week at current rates either that or a very nice adk (more credits to be spent)

All the numbers in the char window (Melee/Ranged Defense, Accuracy and Speed) are combinations of your general abitlites added with the abillities of the profession (weapon)

Here some numbers:

As Master Teras Kasi (and Brawler 4040) you'll have the folling general stats:
- General Melee Accuracy +70
- General Melee Speed +25
- General Melee Defense +85
- General Ranged Defense +55
and also the folling stats of your elite profession:
- Unarmed Accuracy +75
- Unarmed Speed +65
- Unarmed Defense +75
(- Unarmed Damage +345)

So if you have no Force Sensitive skills and no Bio-Engineered clothes and no Armor Attachments or Clothes Attachment equip the numbers are simply added with another. So you now see that you've:
- Accuracy 145 (70+75)
- Speed 90 (25+65)
- Melee Defense 160 (85+75)
- Ranged Defense 130 (85+55)

So when you dabbling another melee elite profession and you equip the weapons for that profedsion, you must add the profession specific Accuracy, Speed and Defenses.

The Force Sensitive bonuses are added to the general ones without restriction, Same goes for the the Bio-Engineered clothes and Armor Attachments or Clothes Attachment but here you've a cap of +25 per skill you'll enhance.

Have fun playing
