I can hear the eyes rolling from the TKM forum regulars, but after trying to take on NK Necrosis last night, I noticed a few things. These are more than likely known issues, but TK is fun for me right now, even with the lack of offensive capabilities.


  • I miss more than I hit with specials. What is accuracy over 100 for if not for hitting. May as well call it unarmed accuracy 80% or 50% or whatever.

  • I use the secondary melee hit for my auto attack. I hit for roughly 700-900 against the Myddril spiders without a weapon. When I hit a special, I saw damages of 300, after armor was factored in from the spider. That was using the combo attack that we get at TKM.

  • I used a blaster fist for the caves the first time through and tried to keep track of my damage with and without. Needless to say, my damage without a TK weapon was markedly higher than with.

Those are just my issues and gripes. I was a bit angry about those things. Now, defensively, I was good to go in a group with 2 of the spiders attacking away at me. I kept my COB going and easily tanked. TK tanks quite nicely for me. I only have issue with what has already been posted defensively and that is taunt not sticking but for four hits max. MOBs invariably go to the higher damage dealer. TK is not the higher damage dealer.


If these are known issues, excuse my ignorance but the search feature is STILL down.

your chance to hit depends on your accuracy, the defenses of your target and the diffenrecne between your and your targets combat level. but usualy u should hit quite often.

there are some known issues with TKM at the moment:

advanced combo hit does more damage then stated in the combat log or in damage display (for example: according to combat log i do 250 damage - if i check the healthbar of the target before/after my hit it does 1200 damage);

u do more damage without any unarmed weapon then with them; the only exception is the kartan knuckler (quest item from kashyyk); a blasterfist might still be usefull as it does energy damage instead of kinetic from bare hands, if u meet an opponent with high kinetic resistance;

just some things to consider:
dont use any part of armour (except a PSG) as u will loose your innate armour (works like a 6000 battle armour);
use center of being constantly in battle, it will add 500 to your defenses capping them at max and reducing the damage u take (so no need for clothing mods or additional defense skills from other profs) - make sure u dont move during the center of being warmup timer;
