Thread: Some pvp tips for TKM?

Hi, im a master tka along with master carbineer. I was wondering if any of you had tips/tactics to pvping with tka. What specials to use and whatnot. If anyone also has a melee/ranged template and has tips that would be even better, Thanks for the help
If for anything else, see me about fees(Alot cheaper than normal interplanetary transportation).

Lunge is a good tool. It might not be as good, but has a wider range than Leg Sweep I believe. For me, powerboosting takes down my attack strength, so only powerboost if you have others around who can deal damage, and you can take a good chunck of it. Obviously Armor Break is a good tool when close to an opponent. Although it only sticks for awhile, you can get some good damage in at that time.

i will definately have to test this myself as i have always powerboosted before any fight
but yeah to the original poster.....improved Center of Being is your best friend....use it all the time

powerboost lowers damage output? =/ i hadnt heard about that...confirmation?

Tips:
Food,synsteak,melees Defense food, range defense food etc. is so important in PVP.
Spice 20% increase of HAM with little downtime on Downer.
Use your TKM defense(cob) to wear a player out.
When you notice your enemy's action pool is down to 10% thats when you make your move Offensely.
I fight alot of BHs and you would be suprised how many do not know about combat lvl 60 Stims (heals for 1100), so don't forget that you can use health stims.

Yeah i love the stims, any tips on staying close? I took carbineer too because out of the two it deals more damage. But tka has the awesome defense. I normally use tka only if they decide to get close but, should i just run up after my opening strike or first few volleys and go unarmed? how would i keep them close, i imagine a ranged person would try to kite me, but i guess thats what carbines for, but still it would be hard

Minas, I have the same template as you and I like to use a mixture of everything. Sometimes I use both Carbineer and TKM, sometimes I only use TKM, and sometimes I only use Carbineer. Its a pretty fun template and it is decent in PvP, but its definately not the best PvP template I've ever had. If you want to use one or the other then personal preference should choose which attacks you use and in what order, but if you are using a mixture of both, I would advise using your carbine to distract them while you run in closer so you can use TKM because I generally prefer TKM to Carbineer so far as PvP goes, although Carbineer is better for PvE. This is just my opinion though, you should try it out for yourself and see what you like.
